Women wash their clothes in public tank and dry the clothes on the wires giving a festive air to the place.

Located 100 meters, Douro Marina with boats from around the world.

The natural ornithological park where you can see various birds in their habitat, you can walk for 10 minutes and is in the Douro estuary.

All right opposite the Port, 10 minutes from the bustling downtown center. You can reach the port in various ways. Gaia Historical Center (3 Km walk) can also take the aerial lift Gaia near the Caves do Vinho do Porto. Gaia Historical Center and then cross the river in Ponte D. Louis I is is Ribeira, the historic center a World Heritage Site.

Down the street, you can cross the river by boat (every 30 m). The boat ticket is € (plus 1 € if you have a bike). Across the river you can take the bus (line 500), the tour bus or tram (Oporto Tramway City Tour, line 1, every 30m).

A 3 km walk along the river will take you to the Port Wine Cellars in Gaia Historical Center. After crossing Ponte D. Luis I will be in Ribeira - Oporto Historical Center. Keep going along the river to the area of Gaia quayside. There you will find shelves to protect the bikes so that if you want, you can visit the cellars of Porto wine. You will see the Douro river quaint Rabelo boats anchored in the past used to the Douro Valley wine transport north to the Port cellars in Gaia to be aged and bottled. There are also card / gift shops and a variety of restaurants with international and Portuguese cuisine. You can go on a cruise boat to the Douro river from here. At the end of the quayside promenade cross the bridge D. Luis and turn left to Porto Ribeira. Again you will find some very good typical Portuguese restaurants and cafes in the old houses in the background. If you still have energy, then cycle to Mouzinho da Silveira Street to Avenida dos Aliados, which is the heart of the historic center.

Of course you can also walk using this route to Porto, but you have to be very fit and I imagine that you will have to return by bus. Otherwise, you can get Andante tickets at the airport to use the bus near the apartment which will take you to Ribeira de Gaia or Porto or Avenida dos Aliados to a good navigation radiating out from the center.

If you like old buildings, the port has many, especially lining the steep banks of the Douro River. On the south bank in Vila Nova de Gaia, you can visit the 'Port' caves to a piece of wine history, wine tasting and even buy. .

Fantastic.

Well located and well equipped studio flat. Everything you need is there and Maria is avert good hostess, very helpful. The flat is ideally situated for transport links into Porto. Afurada is a bustling but not too noisy village and it's surprising what can be found hidden among the streets. We found parking nearby and it's possible to park outside for loading and unloading.

Studio agréable dans un très beau village

  • 4 of 5

TRES BON SEJOUR, EXCELLENT ACCUEIL.

  • 5 of 5

Obrigado Maria.
