This is a lovely restored typical majorera house located in the countryside, in a quiet village of El Time, 8 minutes from Puerto del Rosario. There is 1 bedroom, living room, kitchen, swimming pool,...There is a private terrace and a little garden around de house.
The house is close to my house (100 m.) and both houses share an area of swimming pool, a barbecue and a large terrace. We have also a big garden for walking and enjoy the views, with a pleasant arbour if you want to seat with a wineglass and forgot the noise, no rush, no stress, no hurry.
El Time is a very quiet village located less than 10 minutes drive from Puerto del Rosario, capital city of Fuerteventura, with all services (banks, supermarket, restaurants, etc..), 20 min. from the airport, 20 minutes from Dunas of Corralejo an 80 minutes from Jandia Beaches.
El Time is away from mass tourism. It's a good location for outing to great beaches in the north or the south of the island, or make excursions (ex: to Lanzarote Island, only 20 min. to Corralejo and take a ferry of 20 min. ), or hiking if you prefer it.
Public transport is limited, so a car would be essential.
Very comfortable, welcoming property. Well looked after by Ana and family. Convenient for most areas and beaches, though nicely out the mayhem of the main resorts. Pleasant to sit out eating, apart from the local dogs barking, and various other wildlife noises - peace and quiet of the countryside it isn't . And of course there are the cats !! Cat people we are not, but others have been. The local feline population regard the residence as their own - beware the seduction process !! Great fish counter at the new Mercadona supermarket, and friendly little local shops at Tetir.
This beautifully restored Finca was all we had hoped for a quiet stay away from the hustle and bustle of our busy lives back in the UK. Ana the owner was very helpful, showing us around the property and extensive grounds, we loved the Finca with its thick walls and beautifully decorated interior, the bathroom shower was excellent with a plentiful supply of hot water all day, the kitchen was well supplied with all we needed and a nice touch was the supply of detergents for the washing machine, which, we normally have to buy in self catering accommodation. Ana supplied a plentiful supply of fresh towels and bed linen every week on a Tuesday, a really nice touch was the lovely, white dressing gowns supplied for our use. I agree, a car is needed to be able to get out and about, but it's only about ten minutes drive on good roads to the big supermarket. I like running, and every morning I would go out at seven am when the birds were starting to sing, and run for half an hour, I found a good, circular route which I used, the roads are very quiet and any cars that did pass me were very courteous and gave me a nice wide berth, as a lady jogger I never felt worried about going out on my own. The swimming pool, at the owners residence was lovely, clean and deep. I swam a good few times during our three week stay there. The sunbathing facilities were excellent, sheltered and private, all in all we would recommend this lovely Finca and we will certainly be booking again.
Stayed here for four weeks November 2015. It's a very quiet location and tastefully decorated with everything you need. I would recommend a car, there is a bus stop not far from the property but I can't comment on frequency of service.
Ana the owner was very nice, she greeted us on arrival and showed us around the house and all the facilities.
Clean bedding and towels were provided each week of our stay and Ana was available to assist with any questions we had. Apart from that, we were left to enjoy our holiday.
+ Kein Appartement-Komplex, sondern echt einheimischer Baustil im Hinterland
+ Sehr nette Gastgeberin
+ Top Ausstattung, auch Kleinigkeiten vorhanden
+ privater Whirlpool
+ große Gartenanlage
+ in 10 Minuten in Puerto del Rosario
- Sauberkeit war genügend für uns, man darf hier aber kein auf Hochglanz geputztes Haus erwarten.
- jammernde Katzen :o)
We had a wonderful stay in this cottage, located within the grounds of the owner's property. The cottage with its period features oozes character, think majestic wooden beams and solid, castle-like walls! These keep the inside warm and cozy in winter, and I imagine blissfully cool on hot summer days! The grounds are extensive and a child could spend hours just wandering about exploring in safety. Our little boy was fascinated with the resident peacock and many cats.
One is greeted with birdsong and distant crowing of cockrels in the mornings as breakfast is being enjoyed outside. There is also little more blissful in life than enjoying a steaming cuppa in the gazebo whilst being treated to sunrise.
Located in the village of El Time, we were only minutes away from the airport yet it felt like we were in the middle of the Canarian countryside! Fuerteventura is mercifully, still rather well managed in terms of tourism-related sprawl.
Driving on the island was an absolute pleasure, there was no rush hour and most roads were smoothly paved to perfecton! We explored both Northern and Southern bits with ease.
Thank you Ana, for a lovely stay. We would certainly return and can highly recommend this for couples (romantic stays or otherwise) and certainly young families.
We stayed during one month and we are very glad for this our choice.
Beautiful green garden. 90 % wind safe. Ocean's view.
You really get all according value of money you spend.
