The apartment is located on the first floor and attic and has access from the village square through a marble staircase, has served as a private parking and fenced with automatic gate. The accommodation is on two floors above for a total of approx. 120.
The first floor consists of an entrance hall, a living room and a kitchen. Also on the first floor via hallway leads to a double bedroom and a bathroom with shower. The ceilings are mostly made in ancient chestnut beams and always chestnut is the staircase leading to the loft above where you will find a large master bedroom and another bathroom.
The bedrooms are fully furnished, in the living room is a sofa bed, dining table extendable crystal with leather chairs, cabinets and TV.
The built-in kitchen has a marble top and fully equipped and covered with tiles from Vietri.
The building complex consists of the Villa of Caniparola, Arc and all the surrounding land and buildings for outreach is a single property. Villa and Arco are bound as Historic Houses by the Ministry of Heritage and Culture for their important architectural, historical and scenic.
Everything is now completely restored to its former splendor and led by the current owners, preserved with adjacent land planted with olive groves and vineyards.
Our accommodations are located inside the building complex of the Arch of Caniparola, completely renovated by adopting simple solutions and environmentally friendly materials and traces of the past.
The three stone arches under which passed a few years ago the way the state of Fosdinovo are now completely closed to traffic and totally usable and livable.
The remaining part of the complex contrasts with its elevations plastered and colored pink with moldings and openings surrounded blank; feature typically Ligurian in this appendix of Tuscany.
The interior features terracotta floors, roofs and sometimes in stone, floors chestnut beams and rafters and terracotta bricks.
Also featured are some coatings in ancient ceramic tiles from Vietri traded in trades of Carrara marble with the south of Italy.
Caniparola, the fraction most populous municipality of Fosdinovo is placed on the hills near the sea in northern Tuscany, on the border with Liguria which is separated from the river Magra, in this last stretch down to the river port for pleasure boats.
Less than three kilometers from the exit of Sarzana, four kilometers from the sea, this resort is close to the Gulf of La Spezia, Cinque Terre, Versilia and the marble quarries of Carrara, reached in less than an hour from Lucca, Pisa and its airport, an hour from Genoa and Parma, in just over an hour from Florence and two hours from Milan and Bologna.
Caniparola Fosdinovo is located in the heart of Lunigiana, border land rich in castles and fortifications, sung by Dante Alighieri which domain undisputed Marchesi Malaspina feudal lords of the Holy Roman Empire with full powers until the fall of Napoleon.
The territory of Caniparola, until the first half of the twentieth century was fully allocated to agriculture by the same name already Fattoria dei Marchesi Malaspina; in addition to scattered farmhouses in the countryside, all strictly in stone or pink, the only facilities in the area were the eighteenth century Villa Malaspina with the beautiful Italian garden and the architectural office of the Arch of the stables and garrisons, with adjoining small chapel still recognizable in the external facade.
