This wine lover's old stonehouse is situated in a quiet cul de sac in the heart of Chateauneuf's old village, close to the castle and a few meters from the 11th century church. The interior decoration is contemporary following an architectural renovation in 2014.
The house is set in a very private courtyard with a plunge pool, 3 sun decks with shaded areas and an outdoor entertainment area with BBQ. Inside the house features a spacious open plan ground floor with kitchen, dining and lounge. The first floor comprise a guests bedroom with queen size bed, a bathroom and toilet and a kids dorm sleeping 6. On the second floor is a luxurious loft retreat with a king size bed, en suite bathroom with a shower and a bath, a separate toilet and a spacious private terrace overlooking the village and the valley with views of the Mont Ventoux.
The house is decorated simply with vintage furniture and quirky pieces.
This property encompassed all the things I love. It's a superbly renovated old village house with contemporary architectural interiors. It also features a very private courtyard and plunge pool. The village itself is a great place to experience the true Provence, it is full of character and has not been spoiled by too much tourism. It also produces one of France's best wine. The village surroundings offers lots of nature base activities and are also some of the most picturesque landscapes in the country. Both sea and mountain are less than 2 hours away. The proximity of medium and large cities like Avignon, Arles, Marseille, Nimes or Orange is also a big plus when it comes to culture and entertainment.
It's rare to have so much privacy and be inside an old village. The plunge pool and multiple terraces allows guests to have their quiet time sunbathing or reading.
Clean, modern with all the necessary amenities. We were group of 3 couples for wedding Anniversary. Spent a really nice time in this gorgeous house. Thanks a lot!
This house is simply incredible. As great as the photos are, they cannot capture how good it is. We visited as a large group of friends for a wine tasting weekend. The house is virtually it's own compund, set behind a huge gated wall and with a mind boggling arrangement of rooms. The living area is huge with a nice fireplace. Kitchen is very well stocked. All the rooms were very nicely decorated. And you're right in the centre of town so can easily get to the various tasting caves or winery cellar doors. Guillaume was super friendly and very responsive to all our emails.
Our first time to Chateauneuf-du-Pape and we could not have picked a better place. The location was ideal, and truly right in the heart of the old village. Easy to walk to the village for coffee & croissants or for wine tastings and restaurants. The Chateau ruins are just around the corner from the house and the courtyard and surrounding streets ridiculously picturesque. The house itself was more than comfortable for our group of 5. Very modern amenities inside, lots of space in the kitchen, dining and living rooms. Very comfortable bedrooms, great linens, lovely views from the terraces of avignon. Cannot recommend this house enough and we can't wait to come back!
What an amazing place. This place is enormous and clean and would be perfect for a huge group. It is literally surrounded by various vineyards, and the village quite honestly looks like something out of a movie. It is safe and beautiful and is about a 15 minute drive from Avignon.
There is a nice sized kitchen, the beds are comfortable, and there are two balconies which look out onto the rooftops of the nearby houses as well as miles of vineyards.
My one suggestion would to get very specific directions to the actual house. We were able to find Chateauneuf du Pape (the village) very quickly and easily. But finding the actual place was a challenge. The woman who let us in was kind and helpful, but I was glad that our daughter spoke a little French!
If you like wine and are planning on doing tours, this place would be ideal for you! There are so many options here.
It truly is a special and unique location!!
We have just arrived home from a week in Chateauneuf du pape having stayed in this lovely property. we were only a family of 4 but it is well catered for 12, and probably really great for 2 families and their children including grandparents in the annexe. The top floor bedroom was a great size and has a lovely terrace where you can sunbathe or take coffee in the morning or a pre-dinner drink in the evening.
The property is walking distance to the town centre, only 5 mins max and therefore is very close to the bars and restaurants as well, with a really nice one just above the property.
The house has everything you need for a family break, and I am sure in the summer when you can sit outside, have BBQ,s and enjoy the plunge pool the experience would be even better still.
The house is old but has been modernised and in a contemporary way so it is smart and clean and easy to maintain.
The owner was very easy to get hold of very helpful.
We would definitely return again.
We arrived about 15 minutes early and were greeted by Jacqueline, who was busy tidying the house with the housekeeper in preparation for our arrival. After a quick walkthrough of the house, we were on our own. A quick dip in the plunge pool cooled us off during particularly warm days. Being in the heart of Chateauneuf du Pape made walking to wineries, restaurants, and stores very accessible. The home had all the amenities for a comfortable stay. While there was parking available at the house, at Guillaume's recommendation, we parked up the street in a public lot so we could better enjoy the courtyard. We will definitely return to this comfortable gem of a house.
Clean, modern with all the necessary amenities.

Spent a really nice time in this gorgeous house.
Thanks a lot!
