Blandford Street is a quiet residential road off Marylebone High Street and just behind Marlborough Square, home of the Wallace Collection and museum. This lively and colourful area makes a perfect base for serious shopping along Oxford Street and for the cultural interests of numerous galleries, museums and musical venues such as the Wigmore Hall, known to music lovers worldwide for its chamber music recitals. St Christopher’s Place, Marylebone High Street and numerous charming nearby streets offer a tremendous choice of shopping options and of cosmopolitan restaurants, delicatessens and cafés. Good travel connections to all parts of the city.

A two bedroom apartment with two bathrooms on the ground floor of a purpose-built modern block. Non-smoking, air-conditioning and broadband Internet access.

Decor

Delightful contemporary décor, a joyful mix of older and modern designer furniture.

Receptions

The highlight of the open plan living area is a sumptuous purple sofa with matching rug and ottoman. Glamorous gold wallpaper, Danish designer furniture and a mega plasma screen TV (with a selection of Sky channels and hi-fi speakers) complete the scene, making a great living space full of good vibrations.

Kitchen

The bright and cheerful kitchen area has high-gloss cupboard units and a solid dining table with multi-colour chairs to seat 8. Built-in appliances include a cooker with ceramic hob and electric oven, a microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. The washer/dryer is situated in a separate utility area.

Bedrooms

The good sized master bedroom has King size bed, good cupboard space and an en-suite bathroom, as well as a large flat screen TV/ DVD player (no TV channels only for DVD's). The second children’s bedroom has an ingenious bunk bed arrangement with a double bed below and single top bunk.

Bathrooms

The en-suite master bathroom has a wash basin, large walk-in shower and loo. The second bathroom has a wash basin, full sized tub with wall attached shower and loo.

Why stay in Marylebone:

Marylebone, where the very first London bus route began, has a rich cultural and historic past and is famously known as the fictional home of detective Sherlock Holmes. Right between Hyde Park, Oxford Street and Regents Park, Marylebone is certainly one of London’s most fashionable and up-market districts. There is so much to do and see in this area it is definitely worth a visit. It is home to central London’s most upmarket Farmers market, Cabbages and Frocks which is held every Sunday morning in the grounds of St Marylebone’s Parish Church. We would suggest checking out Alfies Antique Market on Church Street which is the largest indoor antique market in London (Open Tuesday to Saturday 10am-6pm).

Another must-see in the area is the Sherlock Holmes Museum, Madame Tussaud’s and the impressive Wallace collection which houses a collection of 18th and 19 th century paintings. The area also provides a range of products at a range of prices. If you fancy a cup of tea, posh cuisine or superb cocktails there are plenty of spots along Marylebone High Street.

If you’re up for a little bit of shopping then you are in the right area! Oxford Street is a stones throw away along with many other local shopping districts (10 minute walk). Marylebone is definitely an area we highly recommend checking out, whether you stay here or just visit for the day.
