A 1 double-bed apartment sleeping 2
Who could miss an opportunity to stay in one of Bath's most famous buildings? This lovely central apartment for two is a Georgian masterpiece. Filled with light from immense floor to ceiling windows, spacious and serene with marvellous views, this is a wonderful way to experience a glorious era in architectural style.
Designed 250 years ago by John Wood the Elder, The King's Circus (now known as The Circus) is an outstanding building. The interior of the apartment's spectacular main room was used to impress and entertain guests and has lost none of its impact. Lofty ceilings, ornate cornicing, grand marble fireplaces and huge shuttered windows overlooking The Circus would draw admiring glances. At the other end of the room, a beautiful glazed bay overlooked a rural idyll of walled gardens, mature trees and green hills surrounding the city. Grand folding wedding doors divided the room for more intimate gatherings.
Elegantly adapted as comfortable contemporary accommodation, the living area has two generous sofas either side of the handsome gas fireplace. There is a small TV with DVD, CD player with I-pod and I-phone connection and Wi-Fi along with a small selection of books. An antique style dining table seats up to four. The bedroom area has a 6' sleigh bed, chest of drawers and large built-in wardrobe with additional shelving which is large enough for luggage along with utility items. There is an appealing chaise placed in the curved bay window with a reading lamp. The folding wedding doors can be closed to create a peaceful retreat.
A vast sash window lights up a compact period style fitted kitchen with polished granite worktops and stone flooring. With a cup in hand, you could linger by the windows for hours. The kitchen contains an induction hob, an electric oven and separate grill, a microwave, a small fridge with freezer compartment a small dishwasher, a washing machine combined with dryer, and plenty of kitchen equipment.
The glossy tiled cream and terracotta bathroom is smartly arranged with a bath (with hand-held shower attachment), a separate large corner shower, a hand-basin with shelf area and WC.

Nice, historical building and close to city center.
The bed was very soft and the comforter was not big enough for a king size bed. Only one wash cloth, hand towel and bath towel for the entire week...not enough. An extra blanket that would have been large enough for the bed would have been nice but there was none to be had.
Sorry to hear things weren't quite right for you. I have looked after the property for a couple years now and never had anyone comment on these issues but of course we will look into it as we take every comment very serious. However, it is a superking duvet on a superking bed and that is the largest duvet they make so I fear I won't be able to fix that issue. We did not hear from you during your stay but like to be able to solve any issues while you are in the property so I wish you had contacted us so we could have helped to make your stay meet your expectations.
The Circus is very central and as a result is surrounded by interesting museums and galleries, great restaurants and bars, lovely shops and boutiques. Nearby are historic sites such as The Royal Crescent, The Assembly Rooms, The Roman Baths and The Bath Abbey. St. James's Square close by has a newsagents, deli and coffee shop, organic greengrocers, chemist, florist, hairdressers and delicious pre-cooked gourmet take away meals from Cavendish Cooks. There is a range of evening entertainment at the Theatre Royal, The Komedia comedy club, The Little Theatre Cinema or pampering at the Thermae Spa. You could coordinate your visit with one of the many festivals in music, literature and food or perhaps take a hot-air balloon flight from adjacent Victoria Park. Everything truly is on your doorstep.
Bath Spa train station has direct lines from London Paddington and Bristol Temple Meads and is a 10-15 minute walk from the property. Alternatively a parking permit for one car is provided allowing you to park in one of the resident bays on the Circus itself or on surrounding streets.
