Dumbarton Road is a 3 minute walk from the flat. From here, there is a selection of buses which will take you into the city centre in approx. 10 - 15 minutes. There are two underground stations on Dumbarton Road - Partick which is a 4 - 5 minute walk and Kelvinhall which is 5 - 6 minutes away. Partick is also a main line train station so you can take trains to the SECC (one stop which takes 3 minutes), the SSE Hydro as well as Edinburgh and further afield. The number 747 bus also stops on Dumbarton Road coming to/from Glasgow airport.
Byres Road is a 6 minute walk away. You can also easily walk from my place to Kelvingrove Museum and Art Galleries, the Riverside Museum as well as the Botanic Gardens, Glasgow University and Kelvingrove park. There is also a wealth of food shops, bars, restaurants, cafes in and around this area.
