47 Marinus: Prestigious Oceanfront position 3 bed 2 bath luxury modern apartment

Marinus was built as a Cowes premier waterfront apartment complex in 2008 and is located next to Shepards Wharf Marina. You won't be disappointed by this stunning apartment. Arrival times are 16:00 and departure time is 10:00. We will do our best to accommodate you outside these times but this depends greatly on other bookings and our cleaning service provider. Late arrivals can also be accommodated by use of a key lock box.

A plan of the apartment is posted on the photo pages and this shows the layout of the whole apartment.

The apartment is situated on the first floor (with lift serving only 3 properties - each with private landings). Situated at the front of the south wing the apartment has 2 balconies north & south to ensure that you catch all the sun but have shade as well - Your choice!

Our panoramic sea and medina river views ensure that you can see all the activity which never stops. There's activity on the river from early morning to late at night. Pull up a chair and just watch the action.

The apartment has a master sleigh bed with en-suite a further twin with large fitted wardrobe and in the third bedroom a small double with single above. The en-suite has a large shower suitable for the elderly and has an optional seat and hand hold for safety.

All rooms (except the bathrooms!) have sea, river & marina views, are light and airy. Large double glazed floor to ceiling windows feature the whole front of the apartment. You can even cook whilst watching the action.

Our kitchen is fitted with top rated Bosh appliances and is fitted to a high standard throughout with a comprehensive range of kitchen utensils to suit all family needs.

Our bathrooms are smart and modern, white & blue, with shower in the master and bath/shower in the main.

Your car can be parked in our private reserved gated parking area which is situated just below the apartment,

Our apartment is managed by Cowes Property Management Services. Our Manager Graham will greet you. You will be asked to phone him as you travel across the Solent to arrange a convenient time to show you in. This is especially important at busy times of year and in order to provide you with the best service. Cowes is an international sailing centre so there lots relating to sailing and motorboats. However, the Island has magnificent walks, hiking and cycling opportunities and is geared up for the tourists to enjoy a vast range of activities. These include historic palaces and castles, music events (throughout the year), to beaches and the theme parks of Blackgang Chine, Robin Hill and Amazon World. The island is famous as Dinosaur Island due to the large number of fossils and dinosaur remains that have been found - so whether you take part in an activity or combining the beaches and playing in rock pools there's always plenty to do whether your visiting as a family or here on your own.

Lovely, spacious apartment in a great position

I was a little nervous about using Home Away as it wasn't something we'd done before but all went brilliantly without a hitch. The communication from the owners was comprehensive and Graham, the property manager, provided a super meet and greet. The apartment itself is very nice indeed and just as pictured on the website. The views are fantastic and it is a only a short walk to the lovely old, winding streets of Cowes with its many restaurants, shops and pubs.

My only (small) gripe would be that the extra single bed that had been placed in the main bedroom (presumably for a previous party of guests) did detract somewhat from the feeling of space and comfort in the room.

My ten year old daughter was very comfortable in the second bedroom and she was most complimentary about the wardrobe and cupboard space!

Altogether a lovely stay and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend 47 Marinus.

Our position next to the Shepards Wharf Marina provides an easy 2 minute walk into the centre of Cowes quaint and bustling town centre with its supermarkets, banks, wide selection of restaurants and cafes and local individual shops. M&S and Waitress are both local and within a short walk!

Easy access to local bus transport if required and located close to both Red Funnel's passenger and car ferry terminals. Great location for walkers being on the Coastal path and the Island cycle route. Nearby local historic attractions include Osborne House (Queen Victoria's residential palace) and Carisbrooke Castle (prison to Charles 1st).

If you like to relax and watch the yachts this is the place for you. Our complex adjoins Shepards Wharf marina with all vessels passing within 30m in front of you. If you want to explore the island with your family you can also have a great time with a base at Marinus with easy access to all parts of the island whether going on bike, foot or car.
