We are located in beautiful South Mission Beach on Ensenada Ct. only steps to the bay and 1 block to the ocean. Our house is one of a kind situated on 2 lots, with an enclosed yard. We have ropes and swings for the kids and plenty of space for the family to relax. This is a quiet court and perfect for couples to getaway and relax. 2 blocks to Belmont Park to join the fun at the Wavehouse.

This Triplex is located only steps to Mission Bay and 1 block to the ocean. Conveniently located only 2 blocks from the fun Belmont Park amusement rides and Wavehouse. Lots of Restaurants, rides, games and day/night life. 5 Minutes to Sea World and about 10 minutes to the world famous San Diego Zoo, 15 minutes to La Jolla Shores. Great surfing in the ocean and kayaking and snorkeling in the bay. Plenty of water sports rentals near by.

We are a family oriented, non smoking property. 1 garage space for each apartment. No loud parties, thank you!

This unit has a queen bed in one room and twin bunk beds in the other. I have a futon or blow up mattress for families with a 3rd small child, all towels/linens are supplied.

About Tracy Ruane

Bob and I have lived in South Mission Beach for 25 years. We bought our home in 1996 and its been a work in progress ever since. Its hard to believe that for the past 20 years we have been hosting vacationers in our home. We have enjoyed meeting people from all over the world and watching families grow over the years. Bob and I are both in coastal real estate. Bob is a Real Estate Broker and is very knowledgeable with 2nd home investment/sales and management. Why Tracy Ruane chose Mission Beach

Although the apartments are small, we have a wonderful outdoor space for extended living. There is a picnic table for dining outside each apartment and a shared fire pit for relaxing and socializing around. If you have little ones the yard is fully enclosed with a gate to exit and enter from. We have that extra space that is hard to find in Mission Beach. We also have garage parking that can fit a large suv/car, which is hard to find too.

Great space, great location! Tracy and Bob were so gracious and accommodating. Great stay!

The apartment was perfect, very comfortable with well stocked kitchen. Bunk beds might be an issue for some, especially because that room is small but was fine for us. Great to have bikes, boogie boards, beach chairs and umbrella available! It is in the perfect location. Would recommend highly! 👍

Great location!

Couldn't ask for a better location. Already planning when we can come back. Next time we will definitely stay longer because there is so much more we would like to go do and so many more places to go eat! Kids loved playing in the sand with all of the provided beach toys. I was very relieved there were assorted life jackets as well. It was a great trip and we will absolutely stay here again next time.

Great place for a young family

We had a great time, and Tracey was very helpful and friendly anytime we saw her in the yard. Having access to the bikes and water toys made out trip much more enjoyable as we could easily grab a few items and walk to the beach. The location was perfect for a young family with an easy walk to either beach as well as a decent sized yard for the kids to play outside in.

Perfect for our family getaway - nice house, amazing courtyard

We couldn't be more pleased with our experience. Tracy and Bob were so kind and welcoming and we had everything we needed for our stay in mission beach. The location is great (we walked most places) and the house/yard are amazing. We spent most evenings outside. Highly recommend!

Great for families

We had a great time at the house! The yard was a great space to hang out and BBQ, having use of the beach toys and bikes was definitely a bonus, and the location was perfect. Communication by the owner was excellent, we received everything we'd need for check-in well before our stay and contact with the owner was very easy. We will definitely consider staying here again next time we're in Southern CA.

Excellent location, beautiful yard and patio

My family and I enjoyed a very nice stay at this property during the busy time of June. It is at a great location . After arriving we did not drive anywhere the entire week except one trip to the grocery store which was also close enough we could have ridden our bicycles (but we were stocking up).

The accommodations in the home were sufficient. A master bedroom and a small bedroom for the kids with a bunk bed. The bed in the master bedroom was very soft and comfortable. No air conditioning, but it wasn't necessary at all.

The patio and the yard was really the highlights of this property. The kids loved playing in the yard and we spent a lot of time hanging out on the patio and ate our dinners outside. There is a tree house with a rope. Although you are not allowed to go up in the tree house, the kids loved climbing the rope. The patio also included a propane fire pit, which was nice to hang out at also.

They allowed renters to use of their bicycles, surfboards, boogie boards, kayaks, beach chairs, coolers, and basically anything they have on hand for the beach. It was very nice.

The property has another rental unit next door, but we got along with them during the week. We shared patio space, but they also had their own in the front. Might be a good idea to try to rent both units out with your family or friends to enjoy together. The owners, Bob & Tracy, live in the upstairs portion. Tracy was not home, but Bob was not intrusive and friendly and helpful. The kids loved their golden retriever, Sunny.

Lastly, I have to put this in, I believe you really get a feel for customer-service based on how you're treated when something goes wrong versus when everything is going smooth. On the 1st day there was an unusual issue with the frigerator not getting cold enough. Bob addressed it immediately in brought down a Mini fridge. He Was able to fix the frigerator and it was fine the rest of the week. He handled the problem in a timely manner and bringing down the Mini fridge was a great idea and a good backup plan that put us at ease.

Overall, a great experience. We will check if this property is available next time we visit San Diego. Highly recommended, especially for families with kids.
