Aloha to All our Mika Lani Friends,
It is with the heaviest of hearts that we must confirm what you have probably seen in the news. Mika Lani, along with all of Kapoho was destroyed on June 6 by fire and the ensuing Kilauea lava flow. It is literally buried under 30-40 feet of lava. Nothing remains, not even our glorious tide pools. It’s quite unimaginable.
Many of you have written to express your concern and sympathy and to say what special memories Mika Lani holds for you. How you will keep these in your hearts forever. The loss of Mika Lani and the entire Kapoho community wounds us deeply. It was such a unique slice of Paradise. We felt privileged to have been the owners and caretakers of Mika Lani for 14 years and to have had the good fortune of sharing this special place with our many guests from around the world. Mahalo for having been part of our Mika Lani o’hana.
Aloha Nui Loa, Jamie, Noi, Sara & Adan
