Premier Beach Location: Ocean Park, founded in 1881 is a family vacation community with multiple activities and beach opportunities. There is an organized Ocean Park Association that prepares events all summer long for family members of all ages. In addition to the community activities, the beach stretches out 7 continuous miles from Camp Ellis to Pine Point Maine. Our cottage is located in the center part of the beach, which in the center of the bay. We have moderate to high surf at intervals throughout the year. The tides are great, so there is at least 100 feet of exposed ocean bottom during low tides. That allows room for great beach games, volley ball, bocci, baseball, etc... The regular beach is anywhere from 40 to 70 feet wide and is fine sand - not gravel or pebbles. We consider this the absolute finest beach on the east coast of the United States.
Attractions and FunParks: We are located within about 5 miles from FunTown USA - a complete amusement park

Ocean Park is a family oriented beach family destination. No alcohol is allowed in public or on the beach. If you want to party hard do it in Old Orchard and please do not try to rent our cottage. Our cottage is tidy and homey and neat with all the comforts of home. College frats and the like are welcome further north in Old Orchard. Our community in Ocean Park is family friendly. Full of the arts, crafts, hobbies, tennis, shuffleboard and old fashioned ice cream parlors!
This was our first year renting this cottage and we were not disappointed. Everything was as explained and for a week became "home"; our 2 year old was immediately comfortable. Each day began and ended with walks on the beach, the Ocean Park Independence Day Parade was wonderful, the activities in Ocean Park and the Temple were a bonus, and the many walks around Ocean Park were met with smiling faces and warm "hellos". The front porch and back deck were great; we brought a small inflatable pool for the little one that worked out perfectly in the back. We cannot wait to return next year; an excellent week and wonderful, warm hosts.
We have been staying at this cottage for over 12 years now, and each year can not wait to go back! The cottage itself is more than spacious, and this year has seen many upgrades which are not reflected in these pictures. The neighbors have become some of our closest friends, and our children have formed lasting friendships as well. Ocean Park is one of the most charming places you will ever visit, whether it be the soda fountain, the tennis courts, or shuffle board - there is always plenty to do. Also, many nice golf courses near by. I guarantee you will not regret your stay in Ocean Park!
Southern Maine provides the most Pristine Beaches in all of New England. Our particular beach (Ocean Park is 7 miles of continuous fine sand with large tides. In the early 20's, Charles Lindburg used to take off the Spirit of St Louis on this beach as it is finely packed and able to be driven on at low tides (although not allowed). We have great surf and fine fishing. The area is about 15 minutes away from Portland, Me - A fine 'Boston Like' waterfront shopping experience. Fine Seafood and great unique Maine Shopping. We are also located in a family community with many activities from Movies to tennis to an old fashioned soda fountain. Only 5 miles away are a full action amusement park - FunTown USA and a waterpark. To the south - about 15 minutes away is York Zoo, Antique Auto Museums, Kennebunkport and Perkins Cove. The Stor Outlets are 20 minutes south on I-95 and to the North is Freeport - Home of LL Bean - about 45 minutes away! This is the ultimate Maine Coast beach Vacation Spot
