wedding at the plant

  • 5 of 5

This was my husband and I's first choice when deciding on a venue for our wedding. We both have a love for architecture and design and this contemporary home with the outdoor space in the hill country was the perfect setting for what we envisioned. We both love the outdoors and that is where we spend much of our time, so it made sense to get married outside at sunset with an outdoor party following. I will admit that I was concerned about the distance from Austin, because a majority of our guests were coming from not only out of town, but out of state, plus we wanted people to enjoy themselves and not have to worry about drinking and driving. Therefore we chartered buses, and as far as we heard they worked out flawlessly. This was my biggest concern, but all the feedback was positive. Many of our friends and family had funny stories from their bus trips that made the entire experience more memorable. The owners were wonderful to work with, very accommodating to any special requests we made and they were a pleasure to work with. The property was in perfect condition and it was seamless for our rental company, catering company and band to load in and out. Our guests all raved about the location and will not soon forget the event. It is such a unique venue that your event will definitely be memorable. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone for not only events but a fun getaway. It made our wedding so special and unique and we would not change a thing. We look forward to using this venue again and again for romantic getaways to our future anniversary parties. The owners were excellent to work with and the venue was a spectacular locale.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

Stephanie & Michael

An incredible venue you'll never forget

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I just got married at The Plant at Kyle, and we couldn't be happier with the experience. The building itself is an incredible space, but combine that with the amenities, the natural setting, and the superb management and The Plant becomes something special. Do yourself a favor and check out this venue.

Owner's Response: The Plant at Kyle constantly strives to be a great venue for events and getaways for families and friends who admire the special qualities of our architecture and landscape. The superb management is due in large part to Martha and Jamie Kinscherff, The Plant at Kyle's associates and next door neighbors.

Perfect anniversary weekend in an iconic house!

  • 5 of 5

Communication with the owners and the neighbors who function as caretakers for the property was flawless. I am an architecture junkie and so is my husband. So I booked the house for our anniversary weekend and kept him in the dark. When we arrived, he recognized it immediately and was thrilled with my choice.

Martha and Jamie, neighbors and associates of the property, came to check on us and we had a wonderful time chatting with them. They are both so knowledgable about the property and ecology of the area.

Owner's Response: The Plant is in the Texas Hill Country at the end of a mile-long dirt road. It's a bit of an adventure just to get there. This particular adventure ends with a very worthwhile surprise. A house that frequently inspires and elevates how people feel.

AMAZING PROPERTY!

  • 5 of 5

Though I typically do not write reviews, this property, and its managers, were well worth my time in sharing how amazing everything was during our stay. The juxtaposition of the modern architecture with the serene hill country setting made for a great atmosphere for any event. Besides the fact that this hidden gem in the hill country speaks volumes on its own, the neighbors/on-site help were extremely helpful every step of the way. The place was clean, well stocked, and well curated. There were even local wild flowers, labeled and beautifully displayed, used as decoration during our stay.

You will not find a better venue for weddings, or even a casual weekend in the hill country, than The Plant!

Owner's Response: The labeled display of local seasonal wildflowers upon check-in was provided by our awesome next door caretakers and associates Martha and Jamie. They are master naturalists and amateur astronomers (luthiers & singers) available to host a nature walk or star party for our guests. Great Getaway!

  • 5 of 5

We had a guy's weekend at The Plant in March and it was an awesome time! The architecture is simply amazing and it makes for a great place to host an event. The building complimented the cool weather we had nicely and its large outdoor screened-in area is perfect for relaxing outside without the need for worrying about bugs, especially at night. Inside, everything was well kept and clean. The management is also very nice and easy to work with. Overall, we had a great time and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. Oh, and I almost forgot to mention the best part! The all-in-one bathroom, its genius!

An other-worldly getaway

  • 5 of 5

Some friends and I stayed at the plant for a weekend of birthday celebrations. It was fantastic! The building itself, with its open-air construction and seemingly endless space, provided a really lovely atmosphere. A fenced-in yard meant that we could bring a dog out to play as we took in the beautiful natural scenery. Jamie and Martha manage this place with professionalism and an impressive attention to detail. If you're thinking about renting this place, don't hesitate, absolutely do it!!
