Why Rent This Home?
Heated Swimming Pool, Hot Tub, 100 Steps to the Beach lot, Ocean View, Sleeps 3 Families, Impeccably Furnished, 4 K TV, expansive kitchen….
Walk in and say wow! Our award-winning architect designed the home around a 24 by 14 ft. heated pool built into an expansive private second-story deck with a 7-person hot tub. The bold, colorful interior is packed with unique, playful touches, high-tech lighting and decorative arts, creating a fun and refreshing counterpoint to the surrounding neutrals of sand and seascape. And, you will be able to tuck in 3 families in the large beach home.
With a large group we felt our guests needed not just many BRs and baths and large rooms, but also separate areas to gather. The home has 4 private porches, a BBQ porch, a downstairs TV den/foosball game room, a den near the pool, and a porch near the hot tub. And, there is a huge deck on the mid-level with plenty of space to hang play and dine. And the main living area and side porches are perfect for small groups to connect with their friends and family
With this variety of gathering spaces, soft conversations and loud TV/music and soft conversations do not conflict.
What does the home offer?
The heated pool is one of only 5 rental homes with pools in Fenwick. We own three of those five. As the photos show our pool is on midlevel deck and has tables for pool side dining. And on one corner of the pool deck is a den with a wet bar and mini refrigerator where you can keep beverages cold and easily accessible.
In addition, the home has the number of beds, showers, furniture, and kitchen space/utensils and open space to provide the essentials that offer both a large number or small number of guests with both optimal privacy and gathering spots for a memorable vacation.
The home also has the amenities to help create one of your best vacations ever- heated pool, hot tub, entertainment items including a 55 in 4K LCD, and 6 other LCD TVs, and 8 bikes.
The home is heated and cooled with mini splits. This means you can adjust the temperature differently in each bedroom and living area.

Use our eight bikes to explore the "island" and to go to Kohr's for a delicious custard cone, pick up the lattes, morning paper, bagels and/or donuts (all a short distance from the home), or just enjoy being mobile. Within easy walking distance are many restaurants (one a James Beard award winner), coffee shops, book and clothing shops, 3 mini golf courses, water slide and go cart track. Go to our ResortPointe.com blog at for our reviews of restaurants and recommended attractions and specials. We provide a few boogie boards and beach chairs.
The town hall (3 blocks away) has a great playground for children, a basketball half-court, and a shuffle board court and a picnic area. There are two local kayak touring companies that specialize in surf and Eco adventures as well as lessons to surf the waves in a kayak. In Ocean City there is a large amusement park (just a few miles away) as well as two boardwalks, and many more restaurants, bars and shops. Inland about 6 miles is the Freeman Stage entertainment venue (there is a blog post on the Freeman Stage) hosting a wide variety of good entertainment. A mile from the beach on Fred Hudson road there is a great 7-mile trail through the woods (see below).
And for the off season, we have a gas fireplace, cozy sofa blankets and tear-jerking old DVD movies.
The Quiet, UN-Crowded Beach of Fenwick Island-
The guarded, Fenwick beach is a one-minute walk from the house. It is amazingly less crowded and quiet compared to the beaches in Ocean City and Bethany Beach-typically Fenwick's beach has 70% less people on it than those beaches. Check out the comparison photos of the amount of beach goers on Bethany Beach's beach and Fenwick's on the busiest day of the year in 2015, 11:30 AM, July forth. The Fenwick beach was replenished in the fall of 2016, so it is extremely wide unlike Bethany's beach.
A 5-minute walk takes you to the Sea Discover Museum which houses artifacts from sunken ships in the area. If you are lucky they will bring out a 50-pound gold "necklace" found in a sunken Spanish ship. You can visit Lewes, smaller than Rehoboth but a good day trip...very quaint. You can take a fishing charter out at the Indian River marina for a half or full day. And a 5-minute ride takes you across the bay where you can rent a boat or jet skis.
A 30-minute ride from the home takes you to Rehoboth Beach-the town is much larger than Bethany and Fenwick and boasts many shopping and dining options, and a three-mile boardwalk, and an amusement park. There are also fabulous sales tax-free outlet shopping at 140 Outlet stores. And in another 30 minutes you can tour Dog Fish Head Brewery.
Even More Fun
Fun corner is on the intersection of Rt. 1 and Rt. 54 in Fenwick. It has many fun activities and food for adults and kids- go carts, water slides, mini golf. The Discovery Sea Museum in Fenwick, a 5-minute walk from the home, has recovered treasure and artifacts from ship wrecks. You can take a short walk on the pristine beach for swimming and surf fishing, and wander for miles in the adjacent DE Seashore Park. Plus, there are bike paths, three boardwalks, and superb dining in 2 states. Water sports available are crabbing, clamming, boating, kayaking, jet skiing, sailing, sport fishing, beach combing, surfing, shelling, windsurfing. There is a boat rental shop right across from bay from the home. Enjoy the tennis courts at 141st St. in Ocean City. Keep in shape while on vacation – work out at the two gyms that are within a 10-minute car ride. And, there are nature trails, bird sanctuaries and the Seaside Nature Center can all be found at Cape Henlopen State Park just outside of Lewes.
There are numerous golf courses - some are Bear Trap Dunes Ocean View Salt Pond Bethany Beach Cripple Creek Golf and CC Dagsboro, Kings Creek, CC Rehoboth Beach, Old Landing Golf Course Rehoboth Beach, Rehoboth CC. You can find more at golf-link.com
