Jim and I have been a visitor to the North Georgia mountains for many years. Then we finally decided to buy a cabin, and hope our guest's enjoy it as much as we do.
Jim & Judy Adam purchased this cabin in 2008
This was my 1st cabin stay and it was truly awesome! The listing description and pictures are very accurate. The cabin is well-maintained and clean. The owners extra touches throughout make you feel at home. The kitchen, bathrooms, and bedrooms are fully equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. They even had Valentines bears on all of the beds for that weekend.
Judy was very nice and helpful during the entire rental process. From the first email, to the last phone call, they made sure that everything was ok. She really brought a new meaning to southern hospitality.
There is a slight water pressure problem in the showers, but it didnt pose a huge problem. The wooded and mountain views are really nice and you can hear the river also. Nearby cities and attractions are only 15-20 minutes away. I am definately planning on going back in the summer to experience the cabin again.
We absolutely loved stay at Jim and Judy's cabin. It was clean, very spacious, had everything you would need .It felt very homey. We loved sitting on the front porch in the rocking chairs just listening to nature. The highlight of the trip was we came back from Helen at early evening and there was 2 baby deer in the driveway ..my grandkids loved it! Thank you for sharing your cabin. And Ms Judy is the sweetest person, Great comunacation, Would definely stay again 😊
My family and I had the best time. The cabin was clean, quiet and very relaxing. Everything you need you to feel as you are at home is provided by Jim and Judy. The cabin is surrounded by woods. And there is a very large rocking chair porch. We sat on the porch and watched deer walking through the woods below the cabin. Just a short trip to several attractions. We loved it. We'll be back next year... but for a longer stay!
We had a great time staying in the cabin. It was very nice and clean. The pictures do not do the cabin justice. It was very relaxing and quiet at the cabin and very cozy. We cooked out and enjoyed the firepit.
We did see a scorpion in the bathtub and it freaked us out. But that just comes with being in the woods.
The pictures do not do this beautiful cabin justice! We arrived and there was a doe on the front lawn. We stayed with 3 of our daughter's and our dog. I have been to Helen many times and this is by far my favorite place I have stayed. Out of town but not too far. Very cozy and secluded. We will definitely be back for a week long trip!
We really enjoyed our stay at this peaceful cabin. Kudos to the housekeeper as this was one of the cleaner cabins that we have stayed in. The appliances and furniture are older but very, very clean! Our dogs loved romping in the huge yard. We are a huge gaming family and typically travel with a couple of board games. We did not bring any to this cabin as the listing says there are games in the closet. We couldn't find any. This is my no means a deal breaker and we hope to come back for another stay!
The cabin is only one mile from the river for great trout fishing.
