Cabin, 5 Bedrooms + Loft, 4 Baths, (Sleeps 13)
Why Carol Roth chose Fernie
We had the lodge built for ourselves in 1990/91. We love log homes so the decision to build log was easy. This was the same time that we became interested in antiques. Furnishing the lodge was fun!
What makes this Chalet unique
Skiing in the winter was what attracted us to the area. However, we find that we enjoy the summer as much as the winters. Hiking, golfing, mountain biking, huckleberry picking, playing on the river, fishing......There are so many options for activities.

Great mountain getaway
Spacious house with all the amenities, great accommodation for a family wedding. Excellent communication with the owner.
We have stayed at this beautiful, well equipped, well maintained property many times. A great place to host a family gathering.
Two large living areas, as well as a table that can seat a dozen people sets the stage for a wonderful family get together. We love to provide a space that encourages family cohesiveness.
This rental exceeded my expectations. It has everything you need for a mountain escape.
We are fortunate to constantly have wonderful guests. It is a privilege to work with people who are so respectful of our property. We strive to make their vacations memorable.
A great place to spend time with family.
This is an amazing place to spend quality time with family. This cabin suited our large family ski vacation. It is well furnished and lends itself to spending time with family vs zoning out with electronics. There is plenty of games and puzzles which the kids chose over their electronics. The deck hot tub was great to unwind after a day of skiing. The kitchen was able to handle lots of people easily for busy breakfasts and lunches. We were able to ski to the door because we had lots of snow but typically one could ski to about 6 houses away. I would consider staying again.
The lodge is furnished for family groups. We believe that quality time for families is very important.
We are pleased that it works for our clients.
Absolutely beautiful and complete in all regards.
This has been the 4th time I have stayed at the Lodge, it never gets old. The property and house are stunningly beautiful. I had 9 other guys with me and everyone highly praised the accommodations and look forward to a return trip.
We feel that we have succeeded in providing desirable accommodations by the number of return visitors we have. Lots of space, comfortable beds and a fully equipped kitchen are key to a great vacation.
This is one of the most beautiful homes in the Fernie area..
Very close to the ski area, on a quiet road. Home is very well looked after, very clean ! has all of the amenities you'd ever need for your vacation. Great hosts, very accommodating.
Fernie Alpine Resort, in the Elk Valley at Fernie, British Columbia, is on the eastern edge of the Rocky Mountain Trench. The trench is a chain of individual valleys over 1000 miles long, leaving a scar so distinctive it is visible from outer space. Extending from Flathead Lake, MT to the Liard Plain near the Yukon border, the Trench marks the western boundary of the Rocky Mountains. Nine rivers, including the Fraser and Columbia drain the Trench, most entering and leaving through canyons.
Activities: ski, board, fish, hunt, golf, river raft, mountain bike, hike, ride horseback, birdwatch & nature tours............. The great outdoors!
