I am an attorney and I own a real estate company. I travel extensively and know what I like in my travel accommodations. I try to bring those elements back to my rental home to make my guests feel comfortable and at home.
It has been about a week since we left your wonderful home and I sit here with a bit of a heavy heart recalling all of the fond memories. We truly had a wonderful time that will be forever etched in our minds. .... This vacation gave us a chance to unwind in a beautiful place and also spend some time with close friends and Morgan that cannot always be done on traditional vacations.
I am so grateful that Joe found your home on the Internet, which can be a scary prospect sometimes since you are never really sure what to expect. Your home and the hospitality you and Wade shared with us was beyond compare. ......
We hope to be back again next summer....
All the best,
Ann and Joe
Beautiful place with spectacular views. Well equipped with sheets, towels, pots, pans, games, dishes, etc... Roger even had milk, juice and butter in fridge upon our arrival. He was very friendly and helpful. Great pool with diving board. Lots of comfortable outdoor furniture. Wonderful dock-we caught 4 fish. Bikes available to use. Nice trails nearby
I can honestly say that this was the best, most relaxing vacation that we have ever had! My husband and his parents grew up in Maryland. We were looking for a quiet, relaxing place to vacation with his parents. This was it. There was plenty of space to accommodate our two kids and his parents. The girls slept upstairs on the daybeds in the game room. There was bedding provided for the daybeds. There was an outside bathroom and shower that was connected to the master bathroom. This was awesome to have when spending time in the pool. It kept water from being tracked through the house. The girls also showered in that bathroom after swimming. The screened in porch with a hot tub overlooking the bay was outstanding! The kitchen was fully equipped and even had some food items in the fridge and spices in the cabinet. There were crab pots that we put off the dock. We caught 10 very large crabs. The kitchen had a crab pot for cooking the crabs and all utensils needed for cooking and eating the crabs. There was also a grill and fire pit. The dock was gorgeous and perfect for sitting and relaxing, as well as fishing. The guys lived on the dock fishing and crabbing to their hearts' content. There were kayaks that the guys used on the bay. The pool was the cleanest pool I have ever seen. There was a diving board and lots of floats and pool noodles. The kids loved it! Probably the best part of this charming place was all the care and attention that Roger had taken to little details. There was a vase of fresh cut flowers with a handwritten card on the counter when we got there. There was a bottle of chilled wine in the fridge. The chalkboard had a welcome message on it. There were games, music, and movies. Roger had even put up the NC flag (our state flag) along with the Maryland state flag and US flag in honor of our stay. There were beach towels, shampoo, conditioner, soap, dishwasher detergent, laundry soap, coffee filters, lighters, flashlights, fishing poles, bikes, etc provided. We didn't need anything besides our clothes and some food. Roger was so friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed talking with him throughout our stay. There was even a mini fridge outside that was stocked with water and beer. This stay was perfect and relaxing. We saw some of the most gorgeous sunsets that we have ever seen. Thanks so much, Roger, for being such an impeccable and gracious host. Looking forward to next year because we will be coming back!!!!
We had the most wonderful vacation. Two weeks of fun in the sun, great accommodations, a superb host that has thought of every detail. While in the pool you feel like you are swimming right on top of the Chesapeake Bay. Comfortable does not begin to describe the rental, it is ideal in every way. The beds were a dream to sleep in, the kitchen and outdoor BBQ easy to work with. The game room is great and the hot tub was very relaxing. We took Roger's recommendation for an Italian restaurant close by and we loved it. We have rented many times with VRBO and so far this is number #1 in our book. Our whole family thanks you Roger even Wilbur.
Just as the pictures depicted, both in appearance and amenities. The owner has maintained the property beautifully and was available for any questions or concerns that arose. Would highly recommend this location to both friends and family. It is an easy drive to Queenstown, Easton, St. Michael's, and Tilghman Island. Restaurants and stores are within a 10-minute drive. It is an exceptional place for a vacation!
Our week on the Chesapeake exceeded our expectations. The charming guesthouse, picturesque environs and engaging owner ensured the tranquility we were seeking. We were hoping for an easy, relaxing week and that's what we found. While the website's description and photographs accurately reflect this property, it's so much more. The lull of the bay, its flora and fauna, majestic sunrises and sunsets, starlit sky and the quiet, yet welcoming community were all integral to the beauty of our week. We loved it all and hope to share the experience again with family and friends. Roger, thank you for making our week possible; you're an incredible host,. We love our home but we are already missing yours. With appreciation for all that you do ... Lesley and Norman
I just left after a nice relaxing week's stay. The owner really gives 100 percent as far as personal touches. He had hydrangeas from his yard in a vase on the kitchen table. Little soaps and shampoos in the bathrooms, some milk and juice in the refrigerator, and the outside fridge was stocked with water. It is these little extras that made this already comfortable home really nice. The pool area has beautiful flowers everywhere. The best part of the vacation for me was sitting on the dock and watching the sunset. This is a relaxing area, and good for fishers, Tarrapin wildlife area is close by, and Roger has bikes to use on the trails. This home is in a quiet neighborhood, so not good for large loud groups. We ate dinner 3 times at the Kentmorr Marina, and it was quite fun.
