About Patricia Lazaravich
My name is Patricia. I currently live in McKinleyville with my partner, Rome, most of the time. When the Dome House is not charming guests, Rome and I are there. I was born in Pennsylvania, and have lived in various parts of the country, including West Virginia, Michigan, Chicago, Florida, Southern California and have now lived here in Humboldt County for 30 years. I have been fortunate to have traveled extensively to all parts of Europe, the Mediterranean, the Caribbean and more. I am the proud mother of a son, daughter and son-in-law, and grandmother to two beautiful and talented granddaughters. I am excited to share this amazing space called the Dome House. It is nestled in 5 acres of pristine redwood trees and forest--private and peaceful. I know you, too, will enjoy the peace and tranquility of the property.
Patricia Lazaravich purchased this House in 1990
Why Patricia Lazaravich chose Trinidad
I moved to Humboldt County from Orange County nearly 30 years ago after falling in love with the area on a vacation road trip. I got home, packed up my belongings and immediately moved to this beautiful, tranquil place in the woods by the sea. I hope you enjoy this wonderful home as much as I do!
What makes this House unique
The minute I stepped onto this property, I knew I had found home! The adorable dome house surrounded by the redwood forest, with the sound of the nearby creek babbling and the fog rolling in, creeping through the trees, had me hooked. Entering the dome house, I was charmed by it’s unique beauty and infinite possibility. I knew immediately that this would be a special place for me, my family and others to enjoy for years to come. It is very special. You'll see what I mean.

Fave place to stay in the redwoods!
Patricia was an incredible host, paying attention to every detail to make sure our stay was perfect. The dome house is paradise in the redwoods! Already booked our next trip!!!
Always happy to have you stay, Kelli! Looking forward to your next visit.
Absolutely loved the place!
The place was really beautiful and we enjoyed our stay there. Unfortunately, my parents had to wait out in the rain because the host lost her phone on the day we arrived, but she did make up for it by bringing my mom a really nice birthday cake, so that was nice. Beautiful trees there. House was very clean and beautifully lit—she really got the ambiance perfect when she decorated the house.
Your mother was delightful and I hope she enjoyed her birthday completely. Thank you again for choosing the Dome House and for your prompt review.
Magical Dome House
Everything about The Dome House is magical from the Geographical Location super close by etherial Moonstone Beach in Trinidad. The Redwood National Forrest is close by to explore for hiking which had amazing trials. But ..... but ... but this house is the true gem and every inch of it is given artistic touches by Patricia both Inside and outside. The grounds the Dome are intimate and majestic, she has created lots of areas to sit and just take it in. The amenities such as kitchen, bath, and laundry are all five stars as well. Very comfy sleeping and steady really miss this place. This is the kind of place for someone who enjoys life and all it has to offer Patrica is a wonderful host making sure you have all you need and checking in via text during the stay. The place is very warm and cozy in winter!! Can’t wait to come back :)
Thank you Laura! I can’t wait for you to come back, too!
No words can explain the stay here. Book it, you will not be disappointed.
How lovely! Thank you for your kind words. It was truly a pleasure meeting you!
Patricia and Rome
Very beautiful and unique house. The kitchen wasnt very well stocked, but we made it work. House was clean and as expected
I am always interested in, and receptive to, my guests' suggestions. One guest suggested a bread knife, another mixing bowls, another better flatware. I have added those. I also delivered a gate for your toddler's safety and will leave it at the Dome House now for future use. So, I am grateful to you for needing that; another previously unrealized need that has been met. So, again, thank you.
Please do let me know which items in the kitchen you feel are needed. As I said, to the best of my ability, I am adding improvements as my guests indicate their preferences or wishes, and I take every suggestion very seriously. I truly am looking forward to your input. --Patricia
The dome home is enchanting! The setting is just beautiful; so peaceful. The home is spotless and so welcoming; filled with thoughtful details. One of the four of us is a professional watercolor artist and she could not stop commenting on the beauty and efficiency. Thank you owners!
Thank you for the lovely review, Ruth! I hope you all decide to come back for a return visit and hopefully your friend will be able to use her watercolor skills on the property!
The Arkley Center in Eureka has The Nutcracker at Christmastime and other plays/musical guests at other times during the year. The Thomas H. Kuchel Visitor Center in Orick is worth a stop all by itself but the staff can give important hiking/trail information and updates. There are numerous outstanding local restaurants, and the Kinetic Sculpture Race on Memorial Day weekend is great fun...as is the Farmers Market on the Plaza in Arcata. Trinidad proper (4 miles north of the Dome House) will make you want to move (as it did me). A walk up Trinidad Head, followed by breakfast at either the Seascape Restaurant or the Eatery is a perfect way to start the day! The Spud Boat at the Eatery, with a glass of Champagne: Fantastic!
