About the property

Traditional two bedroom garden flat in the heart of Pimlico, ideally located for major London attractions- Buckingham Palace, The Tate, The London Eye, yet calm and peaceful with a large outside space.

The flat benefits from its own front door as well as a large sitting (TV/DVD etc. And dining room (seats 4 comfortably and extends to up to 6 if outside chairs are used) modern kitchen with all mod cons.

There are 2 bedrooms, a large master bedroom that can include a cot and a second bedroom with either a kingsized bed (made of two different mattresses and set up on request only) or as a twin. There is also an additional high quality Jay-be guest bed that can be located in the sitting room or master bedroom as required, ideal for either an adult or child.

The two bedrooms are located at the back of the flat away from any traffic noise and with large french windows ensuring great natural light. They also both back on to a super garden area with dining and seating for four.

Great location.

Great location. Nice space and configuration, except very tiny bathroom without counter space. Appreciated the opportunity to drop luggage off early, prior to check-in time. Needs some attention to detail. Carpets are dirty and stained, dining table was sticky, utensils in drawer not clean, wet towels were left hanging on chairs on patio. House rule is no shoes, but that left our socks very soiled.

Great location all around!

Loved the proximity to everything you could ever want in London. The property was relatively clean with a nice newer bathroom. Our only negative was the one set of towels for 4 people - would have been nice to have access to more for a 4 night stay. We enjoyed the garden patio as well, but also is in need of a little TLC. Seems like it might be ignored now that the owner doesn't live there any longer. Thank you.

Dirty kitchen, poorly stocked, unkempt outside patio

I had a wonderful time in Cumbria and Edinburgh having rented accommodations that were clean, well appointed and comfortable. My last stop on my vacation was London, and the flat was a huge disappointment. Let me say that my husband and I have rented dozens of accommodations from VRBO. We have rented another condo for our upcoming Christmas trip. This has been the first negative review from us.

The kitchen counters were dirty. The toaster, the dishes in the cupboards, the tea kettle, all dirty. I have photos of all these items to support my claims. The refrigerator had old food and some items were uncovered. The freezer was a sold block of ice and you could not use it (have a photo, too). There were no supplies. In the guest book it stated, more than once, that if you used something you should replace it. There were no paper towels, no dishwasher tablets. I brought my own laundry detergent and purchased napkins and tissues. The only amenity in the bathroom was a tiny bottle of shampoo and soap in a pump bottle. The owner should provide some baseline supplies.

The second bedroom had uncomfortable twin beds with old, lumpy polyster pillows that should have been thrown away long ago. The outdoor space was full of weeds, and potted plants that were dried up.

The only nice space was the living area which is displayed in the photo. The master bedroom had a comfortable bed and cabinets. The bathroom was very small, but at least it was clean. The owner provided bath towels, but no face towels or wash cloths. I purchased wash cloths and kitchen towels to wipe the counters down.

Overall, the owner did not display any care or attention to her guests. Apartments that are dirty and poorly appointed should not be rented. Your cleaning service is not competent and you have certainly not noticed. The dryer's water tray was so full that water spilled out when I emptied it. Overall, a poor show.

Owner's Response: During three happy years of hosting over 250 wonderful guests and families from all over the world and always receiving great reviews we have sadly hosted an unforgiving one. Unfortunately for us this was booked by the partner of the person that has written the review and our experience was that they required a significant amount of support during the process. Various phone numbers and any emails were sent and we spent over £15 prior to their trip on US phone bills trying to help them with the simple process of checking in and accessing the flat and so on. For some reason they then ceased to contact us so we assumed everything was great but if they had contacted us to say anything was missing or out of order would have immediately sent supplies or our cleaner to rectify any situation, however small as we pride ourselves on cleanliness and a great experience as regular travellers ourselves. It was also unfortunate that we were away on holiday ourselves over this period and, to be fair to them we had a replacement cleaner as our cleaner was also on holiday (!) and I had not met them so could not review their work. A perfect storm sadly and we will be looking out for this in future to ensure it doesn't happen again. Thanks for reading.

Great Flat

This is a very nice place to stay in a very nice neighborhood. The flat is quiet and spacious. Well appointed and comfortable. We travel frequently to London and stay in Pimlico whenever possible so we know all the positive aspects of the area. Many good restaurants and pubs, close to Tate Britain and the Thames and for travel, Pimlico tube stop is short walk away. I would recommend this flat to anyone who wants to spend some time in our favorite city.

Great location and cosy apartment

The apartment was exactly as described. It was clean, well equipped, and the living room especially was spacious and comfortable. The location was perfect for exploring London, yet it was very quiet once inside the apartment. The check-in and out was simple and convenient. We could not have been happier with our stay.
