Gorgeous beach house situated at the foot of the famous sandy dunes of Camber Sands Beach and less than 2 minutes walk to it's stunning shores. A back gate at the bottom of the garden leads you over a small grassy playing field (sometimes used as an over flow for the main beach car park on really busy days in high summer) and straight onto the beautiful dunes to create what feels like your own private access to the beach!

The house is designed in an open plan arrangement and has been extensively renovated in a relaxed beach style, filled with antique and vintage furniture. The back of the house has 3 sets of french doors and 4 sets of windows which open out on to the good sized, south facing back garden with a decked patio area and stunning panoramic views across of the sand dunes and is a great place to enjoy the evening sunshine with a glass of wine. This almost entirely glazed back-aspect means that you can enjoy the stunning views and seaside sunshine even on colder, windier days when you are stuck in doors. The wood panelled interior, painted in gentle shades of the palest grey and white, adds to the beach theme, enhancing the overall seaside experience. Accommodation comprises bedroom 1, with a kingsize bed and although situated at the front of the building it has elegant french doors onto the main living space which means you can enjoys the views at the back and even hear the sound of the waves crashing whilst lying in bed! This bedroom also has a Smart TV. Bedroom 2 is a second double/ twin room featuring one double bed and one single bed making it suitable for couples or friends who do not wish to share a bed or a small family. Bedroom 3 is a double bunk bed room (2 bunk beds with 1 trundle bed making 5 singles altogether) and another 4th sofa-bedroom/snug TV room with a generous double sofa bed. Finally there is one more bed situated in the main living room which doubles up as a sofa/daybed when not in use. It is, however, a standard single size bed. This makes the total sleeping capacity of the house 13. The bathroom features a roll top bath, shower cubicle, WC and elegant sink unit made from an antique marble topped wash stand. There is a second WC and wash hand basin off the 4th sofa-bedroom/snug TV room. The kitchen and dining area are situated in the large open plan living space with aspects to the front and the back while two separate sitting rooms, both with smart TVs, can be closed off for privacy or opened up to become part of the larger space. This makes space fully flexible and ideal for larger groups and families. Despite it's reclaimed emphasis comfort has not been compromised and the house boasts a white enamelled Bertazzoni professional cooker, fridge/freezers, dishwasher, washer/dryer, wi-fi, wood burning stove, cotton sheets on all the beds and fluffy deep white towels for all. There is off-street parking for up to 3 cars and plenty of on-street parking on the road outside.

Camber Sands Beach is great place to go with the kids for an old fashioned bucket and spades holiday. We love the location of this wooden clad house as it is so perfectly situated to enjoy the beach anytime of day and in particular early in the morning and in the evening when the the hoards of other visitors have gone home! We also really love the ancient town of Rye with its quirky shops, tea rooms and restaurants. We actually run a photographic locations agency and interior design business for our day jobs and this house has been photographed many times for magazines and catalogues like Boden and The White Company.

What makes this bungalow unique

This house is perfectly situated to enjoy Cmber Sands Beach. We have extensively re-decorated the interior with vintage furnishings and with the emphasis on reclaimed materials. However it is the perfect spot for a good old fashioned English 'buckets and spades' holiday that childhood dreams are made of. It is in a quiet location very close to the sea and when the tide is in you can hear the waves crashing on to the shore. Although on a residential road (there are neighbours both sides of this detached house) it never feels overlooked and its village locations means it is quiet without being remote. It has beautiful views across the sand dunes at the back.

Fantastic!

Brilliant find in ideal location - seconds to the dunes and beach. House itself is deceptively spacious and the garden and large decking area a real surprise (not shown in the website pictures and much bigger than we expected. Kids loved the hammock!) Simple but inspiring decor along with many clever touches make The White House feel incredibly homely. So homely, in fact, that many of the day trips we had planned were abandoned in favour of staying put! We were also blessed with great weather but bright morning sunshine meant very early starts! Would be even more perfect if bedrooms had blackout blinds please...definitely hope to return. Thank you!

Wow, Wonderful, What a place!!

The White House is a simply stunning property and made for a perfect weekend to catch up with old friends.

Cosy rooms, snuggly bedding and that bath, so relaxing!

Love, love, loved the decor we all came away inspired!

Getting on to the beach was so easy and had lovely day out in gorgeous Rye.

Couldn't recommend this place more, go, go, go people!!

Beautiful

It was very easy to organise everything with the owners, and the house itself was surprisingly spacious. I say surprisingly because 8 adults and kids all felt as though we were not on top of each other, but still could enjoy each other. The beds were very comfortable, and the kitchen had what we needed to feed everyone at mealtimes. A beautiful property, located just behind the dunes, for lots of climbing, playing, and hide and seek. We will definitely go back!

Camber Sands is situated to the east of the ancient town of Rye. It is a stunning sandy beach, with picturesque dunes and interesting wildlife. The village of Camber is very close to the beach. Located in East Sussex's 1066 country near the anchient town of Rye, This stunning holiday cottage offers the perfect setting for exploring the spectacular combination of coast and countryside, scattered with relics and ruins from the past, 1066 Country is now recognised throughout the world as an area of historical significance.

The cottage itself sits only a stones throw from Camber Sands with views at the front of the sand dunes, making it a perfect setting for outdoor activities including hiking, cycling, golfing and bird watching. There are plenty of opportunities to enjoy water sports including sailing, windsurfing and kite surfing along the coast just a few minutes away. There are also several excellent golf courses nearby. The towns of Rye, Battle and Hastings are within easy reach and are great for shopping and packed with museums, art galleries and other attractions such as the site of the Battle of Hastings or why not visit one of the many castles!

Golf: Golf lovers are well catered for with an impressive 44 courses within a 30 mile radius including the famous Rye Golf club the famous links course that is a 2 min drive from the property
