Our lovely 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom unit at the Seashells of Sanibel complex is directly across the street from our private gulf beach access 300 yds from condo (beach cart and equipment, towels, chairs, umbrella, cooler all provided.) Enjoy Sanibel Island in our comfortable, quiet and spacious unit. We are on the 2nd floor (2 of 2), our screened in outside lanai overlooks tropical vegetation where you can enjoy early morning sun and quiet with your coffee (keurig and drip coffee pot provided.) There are three new flat screen HDTVs (living room) and two (bedrooms) with multichannel Direct TV and blu ray DVD player, free wireless internet in the unit and telephone with free long distance calls. The unit is decorated 'Florida-style'. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need if you decide to stay home for a change to relax and eat-in. There is a king size bed in the master bedroom, two twin beds in the guest room all with brand new mattresses and box springs and Graco playpen and playmat if you need it. Highchair if available and reserved prior.

Local Attractions/Other Things to Do:: Island shopping and fine and casual dining located on Periwinkle Way 3 min drive from condo. Be sure to visit the nearby J. Ding Darling Wildlife Nature and Environmental Preserve, Tarpon Bay Kayaking tours and rentals and Fishing in the Gulf or San Carlos Bay. Sanibel Shell Museum is located on San-Cap Rd. You can walk to the Sand Bar/restaurant which is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and is directly across street. Easy and scenic quick drive to Captiva Island beaches, dining and shops.

Gulf Beach, Pool and Tennis: During the days, collect shells and watch the herons, spooners, sandpipers and dolphins on our private stretch of uncrowded white sand Gulf beach just a short walk across street via a private deeded beach access path. In the evening, bring a chair and cooler down and view the Awesome sunsets! Relax, sun and swim in our heated pool with lounge chairs and umbrella tables, outdoor shower. There are doubles tennis courts (free rackets for your use in office). We provide the beach equipment- beach chairs, umbrella, cooler and beach cart to bring it all down with. At the end of day have a cookout in the BBQ area with gas grills and shuffleboard. Outdoor shell cleaning table and hose provided.

Computer access, bikes and parking: Wireless internet access in unit. Complementary computer with internet and printer in clubhouse for guest use and tennis rackets. We have on-site bike rentals and the bike and walking paths out front run around our island for miles!

Professional property manager on site seven days a week is there to assist you during your stay and is a big plus! There is a private designated parking spot directly in front of unit for your use.

Fantastic!

What a wonderful condo! My husband and I stayed here for a month and enjoyed every minute of our stay. The owner, Pam, was a delight. She answered all our questions immediately. She is a pleasure! The location is ideal with a private, five-minute walk to the beach. No need to drive to be on the beautiful beaches of Sanibel. The kitchen is well-equipped and the condo is furnished in a comfortable and lovely way. There is more than ample closet space as well, which suited us as we don't travel lightly! It truly was the perfect vacation spot for us. We hope to return soon. Thank you, Seashells of Sanibel and Pam!

Prime Location on Luxurious Sanibel Island!

My son (who just graduated from college) and I stayed at this comfortable condo that was in a very desirable location, yet very affordable. Just as advertised, we were only a short walk to the beach which was right across the street via a well-groomed private access path. If you read up on Sanibel's beaches, you'll learn that Bowman's Beach is a favorite spot for shells, but we found the shells at the condo's beach to be better, and the shell washing station was a big plus! On Sanibel, all the ocean-side condos and homes are set far back, so once you're on the beach, there is lots of space and no overcrowding whatsoever. I read a lot about the Gulf side of Florida being calm, but we happily welcomed the sound of crashing waves every day. The Condo was clean and well-equipped with all we needed for the beach, cooking, and comfortable nights...the "start-up" supplies saved us $s, and especially appreciated were the trash bags, paper towels, toilet paper, dish, dishwasher & hand soaps, & kitchen sponge. Being January, it was not too hot during our stay, but when needed, the AC was very responsive. The layout of the condos made each unit very private and you are generally surrounded by well-maintained, lush tropical growth. As our host Pam wisely advised, Sanibel is very desirable for photographers. The condo is a very short drive to the J.N. Ding Darling Wildlife Refuge where my son, a professional photographer, took thousands of pictures while we cruised and explored their "Wildlife Drive"...well worth the $5 admission fee...we went every day except Fri when the drive is closed. Another short drive put us at the Reserve's Baily Tract where we hiked and got to see two alligators and lots of other wildlife. We also recommend any of the very affordable activities that the Reserve's "Tarpon Bay Explorers" has to offer...again, another short distance from the condo. The "Evening Cruise" was especially nice since you get to witness a sunset AND all the birds heading to the rookery islands to roost! We'd love to return for a whole week and next time do some biking instead of driving to get around...the sidewalks are all set far back from the road...very safe and flat, easy peddling! While planning our trip, we also considered Ft. Myers Beach. Pam offered some very honest feedback and she was spot on! We took a day trip to Lover's Key State Park, which was very beautiful, but after cruising down Ft Myers Beach, we were so glad we chose Sanibel...Thank You Pam!

Lovely Seashells #36

A lovely, relaxing week on Sanibel with the perfect place to stay. My husband and I came to celebrate our tenth wedding anniversary. Seashells #36 is clean and comfortable and fully equipped for all your beach vacation needs, with a cooler, beach towels and chairs. The beach is a short walk away with Seashells' own private access. I love the screened lanai- it's a great place to relax with your morning coffee. The location was perfect for us. Quiet and restful yet a short drive to shops, Ding Darling National Wildlife Refuge, and Captiva where we went on a sunset sail. I stayed here on a ladies' get-away a couple years ago and and it was just as lovely this time. My husband and I would love to come again!

Did not stay here but owner very helpful

I actually did not rent this property because it was already booked for the dates I needed. However, the owner was very helpful anyway and provided me with information about other rental properties and a place to rent baby equipment. This was very much appreciated especially given her property was booked already. We would like to stay here for future trips. Although I cannot speak for property, the owner was very helpful and pleasant.

Fantastic!!!!

What a great vacation in a fantastic apartment. Great facilities. The apartment was well furnished, clean and tidy. We could have been nearer to the beach but didnt fancy paying the extra $750 a week for the priveledge!! The main restaurant and shopping areas are only a 5 minute car drive away at the most. Got some brilliant pictures of the Ospreys where the nest is right opposite the apartment window!! Sorry for breaking the coffee pot within the first hour of arriving.........Pat, the owner was very nice about it and refused my request to pay for a new one.......

Will definately be staying here again on our next holiday to Sanibel, my wife will be making the first pot of coffee on our next visit!! Gareth & Sarah. Isle of Man. UK.

A wonderful place to stay!

My family had a terrific time at Sea Shells. Everything was just as decribed in the information. This complete complex is well manicured and user friendly and without a doubt we will be back. I have recommended to friends looking for reasonable, clean and adorable place to relax and enjoy one of most beautiful areas in Florida. Oh, and the fishing was just spectacular!!!

We are an easy drive from Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) in Ft. Myers, FL (around 20 miles). Our Sanibel Island condo has a great central location at 2840 West Gulf Drive near Tarpon Bay Rd., less than a five minute drive to Periwinkle Way dining and shopping, two public golf courses (Beachview and Dunes) and Ding Darling Wildlife Refuge and directly across the street from our private stretch of uncrowded Gulf of Mexico beach full of beautiful shells that Sanibel Island is famous for! We are directly across street from the new Sandbar restaurant and bar serving seafood and steaks, you can walk!

Other Activities: Tarpon Bay Rd. kayaking, shelling on our private beach, Ding Darling nature preserve hiking, boating, fishing, jet skiing, roller blading, biking, nature cruises, bike paths directly in front of condo run around Island for miles

Golf: Beachview Golf Club and Dunes Golf Club nearly on the Island are open to public, golf club rentals available. Thirty other public courses in the Ft. Myers-Sanibel area including miniature golf courses.
