These are superb traditional wood schooners, in harmony with nature, Greece, and its culture. The boats are more than 20 metres long, with just 4 or 5 cabins for a few privileged travellers. Visit the Greek islands with all of their advantages (direct access to the most beautiful beaches and sites) and with none of the disadvantages (changing your hotel, waiting for ferries, hauling your luggage). French/Greek crew (English also spoken), and a family environment. The rental can be shared (per cabin) or as a private cruise. Let yourself wander the Aegean for a week, with direct access to the most beautiful sites. We propose a visit to the Cyclades from Mykonos, with a Santorin or a Little Cyclades itinerary. In July and August, we recommend the Ionian and Sporades islands with transportation from the Athens airport. Other information: Our schooners are nothing like the polyester 50-foot vessels, with no space on deck, no deck chairs, and small cabins. You can tell the difference by looking at the tonnage (usable volume). A 15-m ship can typically carry 25 tonnes, while our 20-plus metre schooners can handle 70-75 tonnes. This means large spaces for everyone's comfort. The dimensions also increase stability. Of course, it becomes more expensive for the same number of passengers, but we're not talking about the same vacation here. In addition, the board (half of the meals) is taken care of by the crew: 100% vacation! It's far more relaxing than a cabin rental with a skipper, like you find on catamarans or other smaller vessels, where you have to get food, cook, and do the dishes. The closest experience is a trip on a private yacht, though with the authenticity of our traditional wooden boats. It's also nothing like cruises on very large ships, with dozens or hundreds of cabins. Our formula: On average, there are only 4 hours of navigation per day, so that you can enjoy the sea and islands to the maximum: a trip in the morning to see a nice inlet, and another in the afternoon to a port or a new island. The atmosphere on board is relaxed, with a team spirit. You're not in a 5-star hotel and there is no steward on service. The open bar is self-serve, with a bar fridge, just like at home. Advantages: Some meals catered, made with fresh products and olive oil, and with the opportunity at night to discover local specialties in traditional taverns. 21-22 metres is an ideal size for Greece: if it were larger, there are many fishing ports where we could not enter, or inlets where we could not drop anchor - there are very few marinas in Greece. The authenticity and charm of traditional boats on the Aegean Sea. Our master cabins boast a 160-cm bed and a private bathroom. The indicated price is the weekly price for a private cruise rental of Irina. It is not dependent on the number of passengers. You can also reserve per cabin, and it will, of course, be a totally different price. References: We have worked or years with the top-ranked Voyageurs du Monde travel agency in Paris, and you can find our ships, the Irina and the Anatolie, on their website. Their support is a result of the quality of our ships and services: a choice that should not be made on price alone :-) You can also read the opinions of passengers on TripAdvisor. However, our best references are the passengers who keep coming back to enjoy our different itineraries. Welcome aboard!
