The cabin is perfect for exploring the whole of Cornwall but is also perfect for a relaxing comfortable stay ' your second home' it is accessed through a private garden and has it's own very secluded patio area away from the world to relax and sunbathe at your own pace. Internally it has the most comfortable bed in a generous bedroom with an amazing en-suite. The living space has a really comfortable sofa which turns into a very ample sofa bed. And a fully equipped kitchen for you to even bake a cake in if you so wish. Two televisions and WI-FI will keep you digitally entertained with a DVD player and a good selection of DVD's to choose from for quiet evenings in. Our winter guests will enjoy the warmth of a fully controllable central heating. The double doors from the lounge open up onto the private patio area for outside sun worshipping and barbecuing at your leisure.

About Lainie Kelsey

We have lived in Cornwall for 4 years now and would not want to live anywhere else. My family all love it here. My son goes to the local school and joins in all the out door activities like surf school. We also have Grandma living with us, which comes in very handy.

Lainie Kelsey purchased this cabin in 2011

Why Lainie Kelsey chose Saint Eval

The location is very quiet and peaceful it is a truly unique secluded bolt hole in one of Cornwall's amazing "areas of outstanding natural beauty". The cabin is very close to Porthcothan Beach and one of the "seven bays for seven days", with their sheer sand dunes, caves, rock pools and mussels at low tide. We are also close to "The coastal path which sports wonderful cliff walks to Padstow and Porth taking in the stunning views across the North Cornish " Poldark Country". We would recommend arriving with your own transport to take advantage of the many surrounding attractions this beautiful area has to offer including the excellent restaurants and the renowned restaurants close by such as Jamie Oliver, Rick Stein and many others which we list in our information pack.

What makes this cabin unique

The Cabin is an excellent way to just unwind and relax, it is even so quite it can be very useful if writing a novel or studying.

Quiet, Relaxing and Private

  • 5 of 5

We had a lovely holiday staying in the cabin. It has everything you need, and is very clean and well kept. You have total privacy here, very quiet and relaxing. In only a short drive there are supermarkets and many places to eat. This is a beautiful part of Cornwall, and very close to really lovely beaches. Lainie was an excellent host. We would stay here again without hesitation and very much hope to return.

Perfect Hideaway for Two

  • 5 of 5

Warm welcome, lovely accommodation. Private, excellent standard throughout. Well located for our favourite places; Padstow, Port Isaac, Wadebridge, coastal walks, camel trail. Lovely place to come back to after a day out. Ticked all the boxes and we would definitely stay again.

A luxurious retreat with everything you need in Cornwall just a stones throw away!

  • 5 of 5

The arrival was seamless. Lainie had text us to check if we were okay & met us on arrival. We were greeted with a tour of the property including the lemon drizzle cake !

The cow shed had everything we needed. The outside space provided a sun trap for afternoon sunbathing & a coffee in the morning. It was perfect. Peaceful & private which was just what we needed.

The living spaces were cosy with all the home comforts to hand. The shower was always hot & the bed was very comfy !

Beaches are 10 mins away by car & supermarkets the same.

We had the best time. We love the 'Cow Shed' and recommend it to anyone who needs a rest, loves the beach & enjoys luxury with a homely feeling.

We stayed for a week in the Cow Shed in september and it was sheer bliss. It is so comfortable and cosy they have thought of everything and it is all to a very high standard. The location is perfect, so quiet and peaceful and just a 5 minute drive from the nearest beaches. The owner was also very welcoming and helpful and we thank her for a wonderful stay 5/5.
