We were very impressed with the chalet which had practically everything you needed for a perfect holiday apart from the discolouration of the water which did not clear. Our other main concern was the road/track leading to the chalet which was very steep in places, with very sharp twisty bends and full of pot holes which were very difficult to avoid.
Absolutely loved it, only downside was the water (brown and not drinkable ) but would definitely go again
The chalet was very clean & welcoming ,very well equipped with everything a home would need.
I found the chalet spacious & comfortable.
The view's are stunningly beautiful !!
My only dissapointment was the £1 coin metre.
I stayed for 3 day's,the electric coast £30.
Bearing in mind we were out most of the time I found the electric very expensive !!
Also an inconvenience when it ran out whilst in the shower ect, don't need the hassle & worry on holiday, the nearest shop is 4 miles away so make sure you take plenty of £1 coins.
We stayed in one of the bunglows and it was clean with all the amenities. It even had a washing machine and a dishwasher. The property had gas central heating and was very cosy. A small town where you can get some hot food and Spar is a few miles drive. Aberdovey is the nearest big town and around 6 miles or so. There is a Coop at Aberdovey. Ideally located for road trips to the Snowdonia National Park. The sea is a few miles drive and the mountains are not far either.
Please visit Cregannan & Blue Lakes which are nearby.
Overall we had a good time and would highly recommend this property.
The chalet was exactly as advertised, clean and comfortable, with lovely views. My problem is that after two days I decided to do some home cooking. I found the manual for the cooker in a folder in the back of the cupboard, this was fine, until I discovered a page warning that the water was undrinkable, that you shouldn't clean your teeth , or importantly not make babies bottles with it, unless boiled first. You could wash up with it ,BUT, to make sure you dried up well. I
feel very strongly that this information should have been displayed from the onset of our holiday. fortunately we had no infants with us that drink juice.
All in all we enjoyed our stay, the property was very clean and reasonably well maintained, apart from one or two loose fixings.(toilet roll holder , the coat hook rack, and a curtain tie knob) A few minor niggles - we assumed from the description that all linen was provided but there were no towels or tea towels, the kettle lid was difficult to open, and the vacuum cleaner tube had a hole in it that had been patched up with tape that had come off - not huge problems.
The drive up to the chalet via the exceptionally steep hairpin bends was interesting, as was the descent. We let ourselves in on arrival and out on departure without any human intervention. Very quiet and peaceful, lovely views - not a bad place to stay. We would recommend the property to friends who enjoy mountain rally driving - not sure about anyone else !
