About Leanne Crowell
I have lived near Lake Michigan now for about 30 years, moving hear from Grand Rapids, MI. I find it hard to imagine not being near the beach at this point. Grand Rapids is a nice city but living near the water offers a peace that can't be duplicated, and it's free! My husband has lived his entire life in this area and runs his own company in Muskegon. I am able to do bookkeeping and property management from my home or if lucky enough from a warm sunny spot near our many friends we have acquired in Florida.
Leanne Crowell purchased this Apartment in 2000
Why Leanne Crowell chose Grand Haven
In 2000 my husband and I purchased this building on the main street of Downtown Grand Haven so that I could open a boutique and live a personal dream of having my own business. I chose Grand Haven for a few good reasons. 1) It was close to home. 2) Grand Haven was a perfect small town. It had the right mix of people and they loved and supported their town. 3) Grand Haven was my favorite place to spend my free time. It seemed a perfect spot to build and business and a sense of community. My experience was wonderful and a dream come true. I was welcomed with open arms by locals and other business owners and soon became knitted into the community. This experience has left me only wanting to make it a better place. I no longer run my boutique, I left that behind after 10 years so that my husband and I could travel more freely, mostly in the winter :) but I still own this wonderful property and find Grand Haven a great investment. I rent out the boutique below and the apartment above is still a vacation apartment for guests to enjoy. My husband and I live close by and are very hands on, we think of our apartment as our possible summer home if we ever make the move to become regular snow birds and let go of our own home on the lake. I hope you enjoy our apartment for it was a dream come true for me and will always be a blessing in our lives.
What makes this Apartment unique
Although I have never made this apartment our home, we have stayed there quite a bit. I think what I love about it is that it has so many conveniences. I love that the businesses Downtown are still family owned and operated. Many of them have raised their families right at work, making all of us extended family. People are friendly and helpful. It is the kind of town that makes you feel safe and cared about. I always meet visitors who are returning because they grew up vacationing in Grand Haven and want to keep the tradition going. Grand Haven is a slice of the American Dream.

Great location & loving apartment!
We really enjoyed staying here! Basically everything you need is supplied, including a blow up bed that worked great for our son! This apartment is nice and bright and we were thrilled that it even had laundry included. The only challenge was the claw foot tub, showers were a bit difficult but besides that, we loved it here! Owner is very friendly! Thank you!
I'm so happy you enjoyed your stay. My team and I really try hard to cover all the bases. I know the claw foot tub is not for everyone. The building was built in the late 1800's and upon the remodel we saw that this tub was stamped and is original. It now feels like the heart of the building. I hope you and your family will consider us again when you visit Grand Haven. It was a pleasure having you as our guests.
Beautiful, Relaxing & Comfortable
We have been staying at this condo for several years now, and just returned from another wonderful vacation in Grand Haven and a wonderful stay in the condo. Very clean, very comfortable, it is our home away from home. The owner is so very nice and great to work with on dates, times, etc etc. Location is perfect, really don't need a vehicle because of the downtown Grand Haven location. We can't wait to come back to Grand Haven and the condo. Highly recommend!!!!
The weather was not great, but having a awesome space to sit around and play cards and chat was perfect! The location was wonderful an easy walk to everything.
Relaxing, Right Downtown
We loved our extended weekend here. Right on the main strip downtown. Close to the beach, shops, restaurants and breweries. Grand Haven's downtown sidewalks and streets are heated and that was a nice feature considering it was February when we stayed here. The unit was VERY comfortable and had everything we needed. Love the fact that it is pet friendly so we were able to bring our furry daughter with us too. Leanne is very easy to work with and even let us reschedule our time when we were both sick during the time of our original booking! Love that! Highly recommend this unit and would not hesitate to book it again. Thanks Leanne for sharing your place with us!
Very cute & right in the middle of everything!
My friend and I were in town for a wedding and LOVED this apartment! It's right in the middle of the main shopping street. We were able to walk to everything -- food, fashion, and even the wedding! We highly recommend this apartment. Take note that you park in back and walk around the corner to enter. I was a little confused at first (my issue, not Leanne's!), but it's not a big deal at all.
Comfortable and cozy
Will book again. Been staying there for 6 years. Owner is great and love the condo and location
