Born in Milano, journalist with a passion for sea and sailing, I moved to Marina di Carrara with my husband (architect and skipper), and decided to buy our own sailing boat and introduce sailing "our way" to our guests. I love, sailing, love hosting friends, and love cooking
Mure a Dritta ASD purchased this boat in 2010
A passion and a long experience in sailing, Baraonda is exactly the boat we wanted: secure, performing, comfortable and high quality.
A day or more days sailing with us is a unique experience, our guests soon become friends and we want them to enjoy sailing and life on board as we do
We spent a wonderful day on board of the' Baraonda', celebrating my husbands birthday. We sailed to the 'Golfo dei poeti' with skipper Andrea and hostess Silvia, who let us feel very much 'at home', and pointed out many beautiful places. We also enjoyed a wonderful lunch completed wit a birthday cake, and champagne.
It was a day that we really want to do again soon!!!!!
Marina di Carrara is in between the Gulf of the Poets and Versilia, right below Carrara marble's quarries. The Gulf of the poets is a stretch of sea that belongs to Liguria and ends the natural stretch of the coast. Here, the coastal landscape changes, we can't see anymore the endless beaches of Versilia, but sheer cliffs which drop straight into the sea, as in the nearby Cinque Terre and a multitude of small islands on the horizon.
This corner of paradise was the favourite destination of English poets and, easy to imagine, it owes its name to its habitual visitors: among others, the famous poets Byron and Shelley, the latter having lived in Lerici.
Portovenere, is a really pictoresque, tiny port, standing in a natural cove. Opposite this well known port, there is Palmaria island, a very renowned place for the ruined fortifications of the dating back to the period of the Malaspina family and for its unusual natural landscape, very wooded and with numerous caves.
