This photo was taken while I was taking down the old ceiling in bedroom 2, it was very dirty and dusty work! Family and friends all helped with the renovation along with our trusted builder. We have lived in this area for over 20 years and our two children have grown up here, so have special memories of the area now. They have spent many hours walking up Bredon Hill and sledging down it in the snow!
The Owner purchased this cottage in 2013
Location, location, location! The cottage is located in a pretty village, built of Cotswold stone, with fantastic views, a stream in the garden and an inglenook fireplace, need I say more. The cottage was in need of renovation and we like projects, so Mole End Cottage was ideal.
I just love the views from the house, the quiet location and listening to the stream while pottering around in the garden.
On arrival, we received a warm welcome from Joanne. We were given a welcome pack with lots of thoughtful goodies and an introductory walk through. The cottage was conveniently located and very well equipped. The beds were comfortable and although it had all the mod cons still retained a quaint cottage atmosphere. The kitchen/living area that leads onto a deck with lovely stream makes it the perfect place to socialise and spend quality time. Thank you Joanne for the bunting, it was heart felt.
We will definitely be back!!!!
Pretty and peaceful on a nice country road. The gardens, the impeccably clean and well appointed cottage, beautiful walking paths for an evening stroll, picture perfect homey pub in town, everything a Cotswolds vacation should be! Wonderful hosts!!
Located in a peaceful, rural location with a relaxing stream running by the outdoor seating area and views across the valley towards the Malverns.
Although we were a little unlucky with the weather (mid-June 2016), we found this an excellent base to visit the nearby towns of Tewksbury, Worcester, Gloucester and Evesham.
Really great stay cottage was lovely and so was Joanne . Thankyou so much
We had a warm welcome complete with some very nice things like a bottle of wine, scones, cream etc!
The view from the garden is beautiful, the house i svery well equiped! Logs for the fire, books and magazines to read.
We made some nice trips, we had a wonderful stay!
A family of 5 that enjoyed the warmth and comfort of a home! We absolutely loved it.. From our walks into the hills, dinner at the local pub, chatting with lovely neighbors and having access to the Internet. Joanne and Andrew were amazing hosts.. We enjoyed our daily trips into the Cotswold. It was an idyllic picturesque location!! We shall return.
A must while stopping at the cottage is a walk to the top of Bredon Hill to take in the amazing views. We would also recommend exploring the local villages and towns which have some lovely shops, pubs and places to explore. St Giles Church in Bredon, Tewkesbury Abbey & Gloucester Cathedral are all worth a visit. Father Brown was recently filmed at Tewkesbury Abbey and Harry Potter at Gloucester Cathedral. Cheltenham racecourse is a must on a race day, and Pershore Plum Festival over the August bank holiday is great too. We have plenty going on in the area, so when you book I try and let you know what is happening locally so you can make the best of your stay. Also if you have any specific activities you would like to do, let me know and I will try and help you.
