This bright and airy first floor 2 bed apartment boasts a large open open plan living/dining area plus fully fitted kitchen, reading area, 2 bedrooms (one double and one twin) and shower room whilst outside is a private south facing patio. Strolling distance to all amenities.

Everything on your doorstep - whether it is traditional pubs, fishing, golf, historic sites, children's playground, supermarkets - all within walking distance. Very central for touring the south of Ireland being only 2 hours from major cities of Cork, Shannon, Dublin. A mere 10 minute drive from medieval Kilkenny city with its magnificent castle and host to numerous festivals including The Cat Laugh comedy Festival, Kilkenny Arts Festival, Smithwicks Roots Festival, Trad Fest music, Kilkenny Food Festival, to name but a few!!

There is very good public transport from Callan itself - airport bus to and from Dublin Airport. Buses also to Kilkenny until late, Dublin, Cork, etc.

Major roads two minutes away link to Kilkenny, Dublin, Cork, Clonmel, Cahir, Shannon, Cashel, Tipperary...

An excellent touring base for the south of Ireland.

Great Central Location to Explore Ireland

From email conversations prior to arrival to assisting with questions after we arrived - David was great!! The apartment was clean and had everything we needed. We utilized the washer/dryer which was helpful. There are a couple of markets within walking distance so we purchased food and cooked in the apartment at least 3 nights we were there. Perfect accommodations for the two of us. We were able to get up in the morning and within a two hour journey in any direction we found a new place to explore for the day. Petrol station was right across the street. Great restaurants within a moments walk. Will stay again!!

Excellent 2 bedroom apartment

This apt was perfect for us. We loved going to pub where we were the only tourists. Close to Kilkenny and close enough to Glendalough.
