Refreshing and Reinvigorating

  • 5 of 5

I loved walking in the door, “How fresh, clean and comfortable!” The location is perfect for getting to the slopes without further driving or for walking trail access. You can reasonably walk to the fitness center where there is a pool, courts, etc. And of course the ski village, with its convenience shopping, is only a few minutes’ walk from the front door.

I’m a stickler for comfort and a good night’s sleep, especially on an active mountainside vacation and I must tell you the beds were great. The large second “lodge” bedroom with its log illusion wall paper is great fun your kids of any age will love. I liked it too and used it for afternoon napping because it was dark (with the shades drawn) and cozy. Yes, it was a restful vacation.

Did I say I felt right at home? I enjoyed the family photos and décor which made it personable but not cluttered. The home has plenty of dinnerware, great cookware and loads of fluffy towels. Also, the kitchen was well equipped with food storage bins and wraps/foils and it was nice not to have to purchase these most basic of items for all the delicious cooking we did on the grill.

Steve and Connie, thank you for all the large (giant pile of wood) and small (plenty of laundry detergent) conveniences and for having us in your home!

This condo was great for two couples, particularly since each bedroom had its own bathroom. Very comfortable and clean. We would stay here again!

Spacious condo in the heart of Stratton mtn

  • 4 of 5

My husband and I stayed for a few days to attend a wedding at the resort in July. Compared to other locations available on the mountain, the condo was less expensive, in better condition, closer to the mountain and the " downtown" section, and was more spacious with a kitchen, two beds and two baths. We each had our own bathroom, which was so nice. From this spot, we walked to every place necessary at the resort and even at the end of a grueling mountain climb, we could walk right into the condo building. Parking is right out front (huge plus for loading/ unloading) and there is a private parking lot.

The decor is tasteful and mountain cabin charming. I imagine in the winter it is so cozy to and comforting to return to this spot after a long day of skiing.

As it was summer though, and pretty warm that weekend, we were dismayed to learn there was no A/C. However, between the ceiling fans and opening up the screened porches worked well to keep the condo cool. There is no outdoor pool for the resort, which was a bummer (and considering they have a golf course, why not a pool?) but at the end of the day, you're on a mountain in Vermont so a pool would have been gravy.

Overall a good stay and yes, we would stay here again.

Great Location

  • 5 of 5

We just needed a "home base" for a weekend of activities & we were the only ones in the building (off season). Place is cute & well-stocked and clean. Very convenient location near the Village.

Map

Car: necessary

Stratton Mountain has fantastic hiking, skiing, world class golf, swimming, fishing, and dining all in the area. Winter activities include ice skating, cross country skiing, tubing, snowmobiling, and sleigh rides in Green Mountain National Forest.

Ski: The best skiing in Southern Vermont. Stratton has an excellent ski school for the kids and they consistently rate among the best grooming in the East. With your own ski locker, bring your equipment up at the beginning of the season and leave it there.
