My beautiful estate is located on a deserted white sand beach where the sunrise softly wakes you in the morning and the sound of the ocean gently rocks you to sleep at night. Click on the VIDEO ICON for a virtual walk through of my home.

The estate is made up of two separate homes, you may rent the main house alone or both. It offers an exclusive getaway for friends and families. It's a perfect combination of fun and relaxation. Enjoy the sunrise while you wet your toes in the warm waters of Waimanalo Bay. Then have breakfast, read the paper or have an afternoon nap in the resort style lounge chairs on the large covered lanai (patio). The children will enjoy the private fenced yard or swimming in the ocean right outside the front door, across a beautiful lawn. Boogie boards are provided for extra fun in the water.

There are many activities in close proximity including Sea Life Park where you can swim with the dolphins or catch an oceanside Luau. You can hike an easy trail up to the Makapu'u Lighthouse where you'll see whales frolicking in the winter months. A 25 minute drive will take you to Pearl Harbor, Downtown, Waikiki and Ala Moana Shopping Center. A 45 minute drive will take you to the North Shore and Haleiwa where the waves will 'Wow!' you and the charm of the country will make you want to come back another day.

The main house, built in the 1940’s, has been renovated into a lovely home with 3 bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths. You can cook your own meals in a fully furnished kitchen or enjoy one of the many restaurants in the area between Kailua and Hawaii Kai. The guest house has 2 bedrooms and 2 baths, with a large covered lanai (patio). It's a perfect addition if you have more than 10 people staying together. A two-car enclosed garage fronts the property.

The countryside of Waimanalo is slow moving and filled with Aloha. So treat your family, or just yourselves, to some time away from your daily hustle of work, work and more work.

DISCLOSURE: My home is located in a quiet residential community and is offered for quiet, family vacation accommodations only. My rental agreement prohibits large gatherings (weddings, luaus, parties, etc.) of any kind beyond the maximum number of people sleeping on the property (10-15). My immediate neighbors and I live here full time, so I appreciate your understanding of this situation.

What makes this house unique

There are so many unique benefits to renting my home. First of all, waking up to that beautiful sunrise every morning! Wow! It never fails to amaze me. Meals at the large family table is so special and a great way to start your day. Whether you're making plans for your afternoon or talking about what you did yesterday, that table has heard some great stories! The two most favorite things at my home are the two large lanai where you can sit, relax, read a book or even take a nap! My property will help you make wonderful memories that will hopefully bring you back to us again in the future!

Spacious house

Staying on the beach is great. The views are spectacular! The open doors for airflow was great. Landscape in the yard had cool plants and was roomy enough for us (me and other adults and kids) to play a little soccer. The kitchen had enough pots, pans, and appliances to cook. Tv was marginal, but were on vacation and who really needs a tv. There were a few things missing at first but Janet was there in a flash to supply anything with great conversation and a smile. The beach off the back of the house was good for boogie boarding with 3' to 4' waves, and our 4 to 7 year old kids played in the waves. There are beaches around the whole island that accommodate anything you want, waves, no waves, snorkeling, surfing. Overall my family had a Fantastic experience and are taking about the next trip to Oahu. Mahalo!!

Wonderful position, great accommodation, lovely host

This is a terrific place to stay and enjoy the windward side of Oahu. The property is as good as it looks in the photos and the video. It is well appointed for a large group and there is plenty of space to congregate or find a nook for some quiet time. The yard is fenced in with rock walls and is perfectly safe - we had a toddler with us and she roamed free within the garden. Take the short walk to the beach across some shore grass and sand and the vista opens up to an (almost) private beach. The swimming was lovely with no currents at all and the waves were fun but not large. Our older children loved being in and out of the water at all hours. to cap it all off, the sunrises were amazing, with a spectacular show almost every day.

You definitely need a car, but nothing too fancy, just something to get to the other activities on the island. Nothing seems to far away - an hour in the car is a long trip on Oahu. The airport is about 35 minutes in normal traffic and you have a lovely transition from the hustle and bustle of the Honolulu side through the tunnels and into the laid back windward side.

You must remember that this is a beach house and as such has more wear and tear than in an inland location. Things do corrode and may not look their best for a long time. But everything works well and we had no problems.

Janet was wonderful to deal with during the booking process, quick to answer questions and make sure that things were ready, even with a very early arrival time (8.00 am). A great hostess and we will be recommending this house for friends who want to visit Hawaii

S very large,accomadating and clean property.

The beach is your backyard. It is very child friendly as the water is calm enough not to worry about the children, yet has nice waves to enjoy. The property is perfect for large groups/families. The area is quiet and easy to get around. It is approximately 20 to 30 minutes to Honululu.

I highly recommend this for a great family get away.

A great place to stay for a large family.

The beach was very beautiful and the housing had ample room and comfortable beds. The kitchen and bathrooms were very well equipped. The owners live next door and were very helpful and friendly.

The only negative thing we found was there was no air conditioning and being from Texas we were not use to the warm nights without the a.c. However, I was not aware that most of Hawaii does not use air conditioning.

Beacfront Estate @ Waimanalo

Great Beachouse! Plenty of room for the nine of us. Ocean view was an ah ha moment every morning with that first cup of coffee. Janet was a wonderful host, easy to reach for any questions we had. The beach was just steps from the house. Loads of beach towels were provided and the convenience of a washer & dryer, what can I say?

We have family in Oahu and that dining table was awesome when we had them over for a barbeque. Cool ocean breeze all day & evening.

A really fun place to vacation, the kids had a fun time with the boogy boards Janet provided. We spent quite a bit of time at that beach, beautiful!
