We spent a perfect week in this fabulous house, close to the ocean, in a very quiet and enjoyable place. A lot of equipment and very nice decoration. This was so Nice! Thanks a lot Roger and Sadiya for permitting us so nice vacations in your house. The breakfast in the morning or the dinner in the evening on the lanai was so lovely.... You can trust on our recommendation
Really nice house far away from the tourist crowds. We enjoyd our stay in Kona Paradise. Thank you!
This is such a great home because it's something different! The decor is so fun and colorful. The garden is rockin! And the sunset views are fabulous! Sadiya and Roger bend over backwards to make it a stay of a lifetime. There is so much to do on the Big Island and we did it all but the highlight of our trip was time spent sipping piña coladas on the lanai of this lovely home. You'll love it!
This house was a fabulous place to stay. We arrived from the Midwest at 10 pm and had the owners directions to the house from Kona airport. We had no difficulty finding the house at all. Due to the lateness of our arrival we were blown away by the incredible view from the lanai when we got up our first morning there. We found the house to be well stocked and the owners labeled cupboards that made it very easy to find everything. The bathrooms were well stocked in case we forgot toiletries. We pretty much lived on the lanaii soaking up the view and relaxing with a glass of wine before using the gas grill to make some wonderful meals. The geckos were fun to watch while out on the lanai. We did lots of day trips to the local beaches, south point, black sand beach, volcano park, macadamia nut factory, coffee plantation, hilo harbor and charter fishing. The house was well located in Kona Paradise which was about 20 miles south of Kona. The drives everywhere we went were so scenic and picture taking was plentiful. We went to Kona to celebrate our 36th wedding anniversary and the trip was everything we hoped for and more. We would definitely recommend this house. The owners have thought of everything and supplied information and directions to all of the area attractions. They were very accommodating and you can't stay in a hotel and have the pleasure of cooking local fare and enjoy an amazing view for the price of this house. We hope to return to the big island and if this house is available we would definitely stay here again. Aloha!
We had a wonderful stay at this home in Kona Paradise. The location was ideal for traveling to both sides of the island, and yet was away from the crowds. The lanai was our favorite part, and we ate all of our meals overlooking the beautiful view! Our group of seven slept very comfortably. The colorful kitchen was clean and well-stocked and there was even a bowl of fresh plumerias to greet us on the counter. We enjoyed using the beach equipment. We appreciated the owner's information packet and tips about the Big Island. The nearby pebble beach was a fun place for our teenagers to swim and play in the waves. All in all, we would definitely recommend this to friends and family, and we hope to return some day!
Tropical breezes and gorgeous sunsets from your own private lanai...awaken to the sound of tropical birds outside the window...secluded, yet close to attractions both North and South Island. We loved to linger over breakfast on the lanai, drive out to the day's adventure (beach, snorkeling, kayaking, volcano hikes, coffee tasting), and then watch the sunset and linger again over dinner on the large lanai--complete with a gas BBQ for grilling your evening meal (which we did about the half time--sampling the fabulous local cuisine the rest of the week).
The house has a beautiful view, and is fully equipped. There are some fabulous beaches and attractions within a 10-20 minute drive, including Hookena Beach, The Place of Refuge and Captain Cook's Monument (all with excellent snorkeling, sea turtle sighting opportunities, and Spinner Dolphin viewing near Captain Cook's Monument). The warm and gracious owners will give you detailed information (including best times to visit and best points of access) to fit your chosen tastes and itinerary. Bring your own snorkel gear, or rent some when you arrive...but take it in the car wherever you go, because the opportunities for excellent snorkeling abound.
We booked an overnight stay at the Volcano House (overlooking the Caldera of Kilauea Volcano) an easy drive around Southpoint (the southernmost point in the United States)....another nod to the strategic location of this house in Kona Estates.
This is a wonderful secluded getaway for a couple, but also would work very well for a family with kids.
Located in the coffee and macademia nut growing region of the Big Island
