The charming apartment "Lisboa Vida Boa 5" sleeps 5 people - is located in a popular and non turistic district of Lisboa, in the real center of the city. The apartment is on the second floor, no elevetor, of a nice building recently renovated.

There is a big living room, one kitchenette, a small nice terrace, two bed rooms, one bath room. The main bed room has a double bed, the second bed room two single beds (joinable or detachable depending of expectations of hosts) and in the living room there is a sofa beds.

We have completely refurnished and renovated the apartment in March 2014, taking care passionately and respecting the architectural characteristics of the apartment (75 sqm) to highlight its beauty.

The charm of the flat / attic, with parquet floors, elegant furnishings, simple and refined details.

There is a small terrace where you could have a break, eating and drinking a glass in a silence that makes you forget to be in the center in a European capital.

We love to welcome our hosts, giving them, if requested, any help they need to get better their staying in Lisbon. We wrote a nice small book with tips and suggestions about favourites spots by local people, tascas, restaurants, pubs, cultural center, and useful services as local transportation, farmacy and so on.

The apartment is centrally located, you can easily reach Rossio, Lisbon’s main square, in 10 minutes walking, the closest metro station (Martim Moniz) is 250 meters away from the apt. You can also easily reach by foot Barrio Alto, where the night life is at its best, walk to the castle and Alfama neighbourhood. 5 minutes by walking, 'o miradour do santa Senhora do monte, the most beautiful miradouro of the city, behind another wonderful miradouro da Graca'.

Central location

The apartment is in a central but not trendy location. At night the street is quiet which is great for sleeping. Walking distance from sights and local restaurants. Mini market on either side of the front entrance.

The apartment was clean and offered basic supplies. The bedrooms are comfortable. The sitting area is small and not the most comfortable (one small sofa and a chair with a ripped seat). When you are visiting you are not spending a lot of time in the apartment so maybe it is not a big deal.

Overall a good apartment.

Very nice stay

Very nice, cozy and renovated apartment. Large master bedroom and well furnished kitchen. It was quite hot when we were in Lisbon so it was very nice to have the a/c in the appartement. The shower would need a little fixer upper but still very functionable. Cute little mini market just down the stairs and lots of cafes on the street. We had a nice pleasant stay.

Great location

Pretty much past reviews describe it well. Note that there is no clothes dryer ( the dryer they have on their listing is a hair dryer). The tv was not working. The location is excellent. The place is great for a family exploring Lisbon.

Owner's Response: Thank's to Lina I discovered and correct on the advert the misunderstanding about the detail, (that's true there is no clothes dryer but an hair dryer). The TV is properly working. Great location...

Great location only 10 mins walk to the main square - top floor of a building of only 3 apartments, the floor below is another rental from the same owner. Two balconies which is lovely after a long days sightseeing.

Mini market, pharmacy and couple of cafes just yards from the front door - great breakfast with friendly service at 'Copelia' over the road (Try the 'Mini Tuga' for less than €4)

Shower had great water pressure and lots of hot water but bathroom was looking a little tired. Good wifi, air con and also has a washing machine. Overall, a good stay!

Nice apartment, well located

The apartment was bright and clean. The white décor with touches of blue tones gave a pleasant fresh feeling. The beds were comfortable, and the shower gave lots of hot water.

While it is on the 3rd floor we did not find this an issue (we are both retired but in reasonable shape) - especially because there is a handy grocer just beside the apartment which sold a good range of beer/wine/water at a good price so you didn't have to carry it far. Indeed you could live out of that grocer - it did a bit of everything inc fresh milk (and indeed fresh guavas which I had not tried before - but will again!) and was open till late and very friendly. It's the one immediately to the right as you come out of the front door. There are other shops in the vicinity - including butchers which looked good but we didn't have the time to try them.

There is as cafeteria/pasteleria 'Coppelia' just opposite. This did good coffee and cake - I recommend their Pao de Deus - at very low price - 2 coffees and 2 cakes about 3.5 Euros. Also friendly if you make a little bit of effort with your dodgy Portuguese.

If you want a bigger shop there is a Pingo supermarket about 5 mins on foot up the street and bear to the right (Its rear entrance is in Largo Mastro).

A short walk down the hill takes you to the Martim Moniz metro stop. However, Lisbon is really quite small, so if you are prepared for the hills, you can quite easily walk everywhere and see what you see on the way.

We didn't try the nearby restaurants as we ate out during the day and at the apartment in the evening. There was enough cooking equipment for us 2 - though you would get through the cutlery quickly if the apartment was at capacity - ie there were about 6 eating knives/forks/spoons.

We were there in late Feb when the temperature was between about 8 and 14 C. While the 2 air con units - one in the main living area and one in the main bedroom - have a 'heat' setting, this relies on extracting heat from outside-temperature air so is limited. We managed a tepid trickle at best. This was just about enough to not actually be cold. If the outside was any colder we would have struggled - so a couple of extra electric heaters would be good in the colder months.

My other suggestion for improvement would be more light in the main living area - say a reasonably powerful uplighter. We borrowed one of the bedside lights which made a big difference.

Would be happy to stay again - but would need more heat if any colder.

wonderful property

This charming apartment is in a great location as it is near the metro and grocery shopping. We found a wonderful dinner restaurant just up the hill and around the corner. We were able to walk to many sites but tram 28 is just down the hill and across the square. We used the metro which is located down the hill about a 3 minute walk.

The apartment is clean and comfortable and has almost everything you need but lacks basics such as napkins, foil and plastic wrap.

Yes, the apartment is located on a small hill and it is four stories high but it is quiet, no street noise. One comment I read when I was searching for an apartment complained that the stairs were a bit of a hike but it really was no problem. I prefer no elevator because of the noise they create in a small building.

Would definitely stay there again. The agent was very helpful.
