Awesome Mountain Experience!!

We had a wonderful stay at the Black Bear Haus. This is a truly beautiful luxury log home. The pictures cannot capture its grandeur. There is wonderful craftsmanship in all areas of the home and the furnishings are first class. It is located in a quiet neighborhood with quick and easy access to town. The large kitchen was an inviting gathering place for breakfast and dinners. The kitchen and adjacent pantry are very well equipped. The kids greatly enjoyed the pool table, theatre room, and hot tub for hours each evening. The boot dryer in the garage and the ski racks were an added bonus. It was wonderful spending our evenings in front of the fireplace in this gorgeous home after a full day of skiing. We will definitely return again to the Black Bear Haus on our next trip to Breckenridge. It was a truly great find!

Beautiful Home

  • 5 of 5

A diverse group of 11 stayed at Black Bear Haus and the property accommodated all our needs. It is truly a beautiful, spacious home. I especially appreciated the well stocked kitchen. Everything we needed was available from large stock pots to sharp knives - definitely not the norm. The teens enjoyed hanging out in the basement with the pool table and media room. I would highly recommend. A great value.

Perfect Vacation!!!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I met in Breckenridge, and were married on Peak 8, so needless to say it holds a very special place in our heart. Ironically our daughter moved to Silverthorne this past year, so now we have two reasons to love Breckenridge. We come back every year for the beautiful Rocky Mountains and fabulous skiing. This was our first time renting Black Bear Haus, and it was Amazing!! It is a beautiful, cozy home that is perfect for large or small groups. We love to cook family meals every night, and the kitchen did not let us down. It was very well equipped with great utensils and dinnerware. This is not usually the case in rental homes. We usually travel with our cutlery for cooking. The beds were very comfortable which is also not usually the case. You can tell that the McDonnell's take pride in their home. We certainly hope to return again and stay at Black Bear Haus.

An amazing house in a great location - whether you're skiing at Breck, Keystone, A-Basin and or making the trek to Vail. Awesome pool table - if you like taking $$ from your dear friends - and the perfect TV/Theatre room for cheering on the winning Denver Broncos! Oh, and don't forgot to bring your own chef - a five star kitchen ready for any preparation. While sleeping is overrated on a ski weekend, all the bedrooms are first class. Check plus!!

Perfect Home for a Relaxing Vacation

  • 5 of 5

This home was a pleasure and made our ski vacation for 12 very relaxing. With the 3 levels of the home the children were able to play pool and watch movies while the baby slept on the top floor. The spaciousness of the home made it comfortable for everyone to have space and a place to relax. The view out the family room is absolutely stunning. The easy to turn on fireplaces added to the atmosphere and a place to relax/play games, etc. The owners were very quick to answer and offer suggestions of the area. Would go back next time we are in the area for sure. Lots of memories made here!

My family had the pleasure of staying in this beautiful home over the weekend this summer. Everything from the architecture to the amenities was top notch. Liz was great and worked with us to get everything set up. The photos do not do this place justice.
