Amazing location/ great for large groups

  • 5 of 5

We had an amazing time at this house the first week of January. We had 8 kids ages 2-10 and the size/layout/location/ammenities of this house were perfect! Location to downtown was great, no fighting traffic to go to dinner. The basement level with theater rooms was great as the kids spent most of their time down there having "cousin time" while the adults had the spacious and beautiful main level to enjoy. The bunk room for the kids was a great experience for them also, 6 of them slept together each night and made great memories. The kitchen Had everything we needed, and the boot/glove warmers in the garage were a great touch. I even received friendly texts with things to do/places to eat. Can't say enough! We will be back! Thank you for letting us stay in your home.

Black Bear Haus

  • 5 of 5

This is an absolutely beautiful property in every way - our family of 14 enjoyed our stay immensely. It's just a few blocks from downtown where there are many fine restaurants and activities for the entire family. We went in the summer of 2016 - the weather was beautiful. While we were sitting in the "great room" on the second level, a beautiful red fox strolled across the patio. The kitchen is beautiful, the beds are comfortable, the garage holds two cars and the driveway several more. We recommend this home highly.

Awesome Mountain Experience!!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful stay at the Black Bear Haus. This is a truly beautiful luxury log home. The pictures cannot capture its grandeur. There is wonderful craftsmanship in all areas of the home and the furnishings are first class. It is located in a quiet neighborhood with quick and easy access to town. The large kitchen was an inviting gathering place for breakfast and dinners. The kitchen and adjacent pantry are very well equipped. The kids greatly enjoyed the pool table, theatre room, and hot tub for hours each evening. The boot dryer in the garage and the ski racks were an added bonus. It was wonderful spending our evenings in front of the fireplace in this gorgeous home after a full day of skiing. We will definitely return again to the Black Bear Haus on our next trip to Breckenridge. It was a truly great find!

Beautiful Home

  • 5 of 5

A diverse group of 11 stayed at Black Bear Haus and the property accommodated all our needs. It is truly a beautiful, spacious home. I especially appreciated the well stocked kitchen. Everything we needed was available from large stock pots to sharp knives - definitely not the norm. The teens enjoyed hanging out in the basement with the pool table and media room. I would highly recommend. A great value.

Perfect Vacation!!!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I met in Breckenridge, and were married on Peak 8, so needless to say it holds a very special place in our heart. Ironically our daughter moved to Silverthorne this past year, so now we have two reasons to love Breckenridge. We come back every year for the beautiful Rocky Mountains and fabulous skiing. This was our first time renting Black Bear Haus, and it was Amazing!! It is a beautiful, cozy home that is perfect for large or small groups. We love to cook family meals every night, and the kitchen did not let us down. It was very well equipped with great utensils and dinnerware. This is not usually the case in rental homes. We usually travel with our cutlery for cooking. The beds were very comfortable which is also not usually the case. You can tell that the McDonnell's take pride in their home. We certainly hope to return again and stay at Black Bear Haus.
