The 1930’s meet present day in the meticulously remodeled home located three blocks from downtown Coeur d'Alene. Enjoy the benefits of a one-year complete interior and exterior renovation.

Located on a quiet, tree lined residential street you are only minutes from the activities of downtown and Lake Coeur d'Alene. In ten minutes you can take a quiet nature walk along Tubbs Hill which overlooks the lake.

You are only 5 blocks from fine dining, browsing antiques or sipping coffee at the local coffee shops. If golfing is in your plans the renowned CDA Golf Course is a few minutes drive away. St. Thomas Catholic Church is just a two block stroll. The house is located in a very quiet neighborhood away from busy traffic.

The interior is elegantly appointed with fine European antique furniture. The original hardwood floors have been refinished to reveal the original craftsmanship of the 30's. Fire up the gas fireplace with a push of the remote and enjoy HDTV on the plasma located above the mantel.

Sleeping for up to six persons is available. The master bedroom has a king bed, the guest bedroom has two extra long twin beds. The main floor has a pull-out sofa that is located in front of the fire place and the lower level is a trundle bed. There are full baths upstairs and in the basement. All beds are top-of-the-line Serta for that perfect night sleep. Luxury linen and bath towels are also provided.

The kitchen is equipped with the latest state of the art appliances and is fully equipped to meet your every culinary need.

The character of this home has been maintained with a touch of modern technology. Full audio control is located in each room via keypads to select your choice of Satellite XM radio, HDTV, or bring your Ipod to listen to your own music. A HD plasma in the living room is revealed behind art with a push of a remote control. Another HD plasma is in the master bedroom. High speed internet access is available in every room via wireless or direct connection. Watch or record HDTV using Dish Networks latest Vip622 HD receiver. An XBox game console is available for the kids or anyone who wants a good challange.

Why Philip McCormick chose Coeur d 'Alene

Our cottage on 8th Street is really special. We spent 14 months remodeling the home both inside and out. Previous owners dating back decades would drop by and introduce themselves and tell of great stories of raising their children in this home. They very much appreciated the improvements that we made.

Of course the location is perfect. The home is on a quiet street but only 3 blocks from Sherman Avenue where all the stores, coffee shops, and restaurants are located.

What makes this house unique

From our cottage our guests love to take leisurely walks into town. No need for a car. Tubbs Hill nature walk is a really popular activity. Our home is fully fenced in and you have privacy in the back yard while cooking on our grill. Everyone really enjoys the home audio system. Mom can soak in the claw foot tub listening to Mozart while Dad is in the kitchen listening to 80’s rock while cooking for the family.

The house was a perfect "home away from home" to celebrate the Easter weekend. The three of us were very cozy, enjoyed the hideaway TV, the well appointed kitchen, and the soft beds. The location made it easy to enjoy the shops and other businesses close by - maybe a bit too close to Zips where we enjoyed 3 large milkshakes for desserts one evening. Great location

We were in town for the Ironman race. The house location was great - we could walk to restaurants and the lake and to cheer our friends on the race course! We took advantage of the air conditioning in the cute house and the rooms were perfect for our stay. The house had everything we needed and we loved the porch and swing!

I would highly recommend this property when staying in Coeur D' Alene!

Beautiful location!

We loved the house on Ash St. It was beautifully maintained, clean and well stocked, They thought of everything to make our stay exactly what we needed. We could walk to the lake and it was close enough to town yet quiet and away from the busy tourists on a holiday weekend. Thanks!

Adorable house in a great location!

We loved our stay in the 8th Street house in CDA. The location was perfect - just a few blocks walk to all that Downtown CDA has to offer. My absolute favorite part of the house was the front porch. We spent hours on the front porch listening to music and saying hi to friendly passerby's. The house was very comfortable to stay in with many extra amenities that most rentals don't have to offer: detergent, condiments, beach chairs/towels, games for kids, Netflix! The beds were very comfortable and the house had lots of charm. We would definitely stay again and recommend the home to others.

Wonderful house

We stayed 8 nights at the 8th street house and it was perfect. Very well equipped very clean, great location and pretty neighborhood.It was also well furnished. We would highly recommend this to anyone wanting to visit Coeur d'Alene.

Great experience

It was the first time to spend our holidays in Coeur D'alene and this house was the one made our holidays perfect!!!! It was closed to everything such as beach, shops, restaurants, and groceries. There are so many things that we can do in Coeur D'alene and my boys were pretty happy about them. The owner and property manager responded nicely and quickly before we go and during our stay. I would recomend to my friends and definately want to go back for our another holidays.

Class and charm in an idyllic town

Our family stayed six nights in the 8th St. cottage and it was one of the best, most recharging stays we've had. The cottage far beat a local hotel in terms of comfort, space, and convenience. With young children, proximity to town was essential, and the 8th St. cottage delivered. We took leisurely daily walks to McEuen Park and to various ice cream parlors in town. In terms of the cottage, the beds, amenities, and kitchen were all high-end and exactly what were needed. Finally the quaint front porch was a relaxing end of the day location for a glass of wine.

  • There are two bathrooms one located on the upper bedrooms level and on the lower den level. There is no bathroom on the main level. The upper bathroom has a privacy door from the landing at the top of the stairs. Guests throughout the house have free access to this bathroom. It was remodelled maintaining the 1930's look with black and white tile, Wayne's coat, 1930's fixtures, and a clawfoot tube. The tub is wonderful for soaking. There is a shower head located slightly above head level while you are sitting in the tub. It works great. The lower den level bath has a shower, toilet, sink. This is where the washer and dryer are located.

Guest Bedroom: Also located on the upper level. Two extra long twin beds. Luxury bedding on top of the line Serta mattresses. Dresser and closet. Well lite room with 1 window on the South side of the house. On the main level is a pull-out sofa. It is located across from the gas fireplace and main level flat panel TV with access to Dish Network. On the lower level is the den and full bath. There is a day bed that open into two single beds. There is a closet and flat panel TV with access to Netflix, DVD player, and Xbox 360.
