About Linda Hobbs

Linda & I were raised in South Florida with all the sunshine & greenery! We have 4 sons & 10 grandchildren and we love taking our grandkids to Paradise View. We love to travel & that is why we bought Paradise View. It gives us the ability to travel and yet have our own paradise in the mountains.

Linda Hobbs purchased this cabin in 2005

Why Linda Hobbs chose Tennessee

We vacationed many times in the Smokey Mountains - we love the variety, the color, the mountains as God's beautiful tapestry. So in November 2005 we found Paradise View and fell in love with it & now it is ours & yours to share!!

What makes this cabin unique

Paradise View is just far enough in the mountains to be secluded - but close enough to all the activity and attractions of Pigeon Forge & Gatlinburg! The magnificent 7 mountain range panoramic view from our wrap around deck is one of our favorites. We love to sightsee in the Smokey Mountain National Park, tube the rivers, enjoy the theatres & shows and explore nature or just sit on the back deck and enjoy the view!!

Guestbook comments from the owner

Linda

It was an amazing time! Pictures do not do it justices. Beautiful place and very clean! It was a great girls weekend away just what we wanted! The location was even better. We enjoyed coffee on the porch listening to the wildlife. We will be back it was one of my favorite cabins that I have been too! Thanks again for being so easy to work with and providing a great experience!!

The only small negative was hot water it would run out before two people could take showers. But that isn't a major issue at all.

Sincerely

Laura

Mystical View

  • 5 of 5

We had high expectations due to the owner's photos and descriptions of the property in addition to the positive reviews. Upon entering the cabin our highest expectations were surpassed. There truly is no way to describe the panoramic view nor will any photo do it justice. It was simply breathtaking and had a mystical look and feel that was ever changing. We were even able to enjoy watching a rain storm blow through without having to leave the deck. That's experiencing nature at its finest.

The cabin was spotless and the decor was exquisite - certainly qualifies as a luxury cabin experience. The owner's attention to detail was obvious everywhere. Incredibly comfortable beds. The owners were great to deal with and made renting the cabin an enjoyable experience.

The cabin's location is in close proximity to many tourist attractions, shopping outlets, restaurants and Smokey Mountain National Park -making it very convenient. However, once on the deck of the cabin, the peace and tranquility leaves you feeling as though you had driven miles into the wilderness.

We highly recommend the Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail - it was not that far from the cabin and much less crowded than other park areas. Beautiful rushing mountain streams, diverse forest, hiking trails and historic sites.

We will most definitely be back!

Perfect Choice!

  • 5 of 5

My entire family decided to forego our Disney Vacation and spend some time in Pigeon Forge. We are so glad that we did! I am always in charge of reserving a condo or rental that will live up to everyone's expectations. After a few days of looking at cabins that were either overpriced or too rustic for our taste, I came across this cabin. I had some additional questions about the cabin and Linda was extremely helpful and pleasant.

Upon arrival, I was immediately impressed with the layout of the home as well as the modern decor. The owners really made sure that the cabin looked like a home that someone would actually live in! No bear statues anywhere! The location was perfect as well. The initial ride to the cabin was the most intimidating part of the cabin to us city folks but after our 2nd time we were able to figure out how to back in to the driveway. It also helped that we didn't encounter any other cars on the narrow, winding road.

There were 7 of us (5 adults and 2 kids). My parents took the queen bed on the main floor, my sister took the bottom king bedroom and my husband, the kids, and I took the top guest suite. There was enough room on the floor for the kids to sleep on a portable blow up bed that we brought. There was also a day bed on the 3rd floor that we did not use.

Since we had so many activities planned for the kids, we didn't spend a lot of time at the cabin. However, we were able to enjoy the beautiful views from the 2 decks every morning as well as gaze at the stars at night. We cooked breakfast every morning and were appreciative of the clean, working appliances and seating outside to eat. At night, we were able to see the city lights of Gatlinburg from the deck and enjoy the game room on the bottom floor.

There is a guest book that all guests are asked to sign. We read through everyone's comments and learned that a local raccoon by the name of Vern comes to visit every night around 9:30pm. Unfortunately, we were never at the cabin to meet him. Maybe next time!

I would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone.

This was our second time staying at Paradise Views and was as perfect as the first time. Don't ever plan on staying anywhere else when we return. Great locationn on top the mountain just outside of pigeon forge. Has everything you need to make your stay enjoyable. If things aren't exactly right, do not hesitate to call. It will be immediately fixed or resolved. They will see to any situation quickly. I 100% recommend Paradise Views for your stay. It definitely is paradise and the view is outstanding. Amazing view!

  • 5 of 5

Great place for a family. Our children are 13, 12, 10 &9. They enjoyed the game room and hot tub. Plenty of room for everyone.

The driveway was a little hard backing out with a large SUV.

A few more dish towels and dish cloths would of been nice. House was clean and very nice.

Owner's Response: Gina: Yes the driveway can be a challenge but if you come up the next street by the Wyndom sign you can back into the driveway and not have to back out. I guess we are so used to it that it does not bother us anymore. We sacrificed the driveway for the view!!. Glad you enjoyed your stay. Thanks for the review. Linda

Absolutely Stunning!!

  • 5 of 5

We traveled from WI to stay at Paradise View for a Memorial Weekend (end of May 2016) getaway. There were two families (8 people in total). It was everything we dreamed of and more. The accommodations were perfect for our family and the home was beautiful. Communication from the owners was perfect. All rooms were very clean and in order. The kids loved the game room options and they still talk about all of the fireflies they would see at night from the balcony. The view is just as breathtaking. Early mornings siting out on the balcony listing to the sounds of nature was a great way to start the day. We highly recommend this property to anyone who is ready to enjoy the Smokey Mountain view but yet would like to be close to the attractions. There are so many things to do in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg.
