About Linda Hobbs

Linda & I were raised in South Florida with all the sunshine & greenery! We have 4 sons & 10 grandchildren and we love taking our grandkids to Paradise View. We love to travel & that is why we bought Paradise View. It gives us the ability to travel and yet have our own paradise in the mountains.

Linda Hobbs purchased this cabin in 2005

Why Linda Hobbs chose Tennessee

We vacationed many times in the Smokey Mountains - we love the variety, the color, the mountains as God's beautiful tapestry. So in November 2005 we found Paradise View and fell in love with it & now it is ours & yours to share!!

What makes this cabin unique

Paradise View is just far enough in the mountains to be secluded - but close enough to all the activity and attractions of Pigeon Forge & Gatlinburg! The magnificent 7 mountain range panoramic view from our wrap around deck is one of our favorites. We love to sightsee in the Smokey Mountain National Park, tube the rivers, enjoy the theatres & shows and explore nature or just sit on the back deck and enjoy the view!!

Guestbook comments from the owner

Linda

It was an amazing time! Pictures do not do it justices. Beautiful place and very clean! It was a great girls weekend away just what we wanted! The location was even better. We enjoyed coffee on the porch listening to the wildlife. We will be back it was one of my favorite cabins that I have been too! Thanks again for being so easy to work with and providing a great experience!!

The only small negative was hot water it would run out before two people could take showers. But that isn't a major issue at all.

Sincerely

Laura

Incredibly beautiful views!!!

  • 5 of 5

Incredibly beautiful views! While there are cabins on either side it is still private with the full foliage of the trees. Steep, curvy drive is well worth it. Within minutes of Pigeon Forge and a grocery store. Worked well with our family of 5. Highly recommend!

Mystical View

  • 5 of 5

We had high expectations due to the owner's photos and descriptions of the property in addition to the positive reviews. Upon entering the cabin our highest expectations were surpassed. There truly is no way to describe the panoramic view nor will any photo do it justice. It was simply breathtaking and had a mystical look and feel that was ever changing. We were even able to enjoy watching a rain storm blow through without having to leave the deck. That's experiencing nature at its finest.

The cabin was spotless and the decor was exquisite - certainly qualifies as a luxury cabin experience. The owner's attention to detail was obvious everywhere. Incredibly comfortable beds. The owners were great to deal with and made renting the cabin an enjoyable experience.

The cabin's location is in close proximity to many tourist attractions, shopping outlets, restaurants and Smokey Mountain National Park -making it very convenient. However, once on the deck of the cabin, the peace and tranquility leaves you feeling as though you had driven miles into the wilderness.

We highly recommend the Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail - it was not that far from the cabin and much less crowded than other park areas. Beautiful rushing mountain streams, diverse forest, hiking trails and historic sites.

We will most definitely be back!

Owner's Response: Craig & Colleen we are so happy your stay was beyond your expectations. The Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail is one of our favorite places to go hiking and be so close to nature and beauty. Certainly would return

  • 5 of 5

It was absolutely lovely! The hot tub was superb and enjoyed by all. We would definitely stay here again.....very convenient, quiet and peaceful. The dogwood were in full bloom so the view of the Smokies was enhanced with mist one morning and brilliant sun the others. Lots of space certainly enough for 7 people as described by the owner. Our family from England really enjoyed the stay.

Perfect cabin, fantastic views, relaxing vacation

  • 5 of 5

We very much enjoyed our stay at Paradise View. It was more than enough room for my family of four (my oldest loved having his own room off the game room!) and the middle room fit our pack 'n play just fine for our youngest. Of course, we loved being the "guest of honor" up in the master bedroom and the jetted tub was a hit with the kids. The cabin is well-kept and had everything we needed. It was a bit cool in the mornings and I enjoyed having my morning coffee out on the back porch. When it was a little too cold I wished I had a blanket and of course I found one in the bedroom closet! Perfect. I think most reviews have mentioned the fabulous view, it does not disappoint! We took the kids to Dollywood and it was super-close to the cabin which was nice. But again (as others have noted) the cabin is secluded enough that you don't know how close you are to the hustle and bustle! After the kids went to bed we enjoyed the fire. I loved the attention to detail in the living room; I have a thing about lighting and there were just the perfect amount/style of lamps to turn on after turning the overhead light off. That, with the fire, made for the coziest of evenings. This was my husband's first trip to the Smokies and he loved it! We will be back.

What a breath taking view and lovely cabin!

  • 5 of 5

We mainly chose Paradise View because of the pictures of the deck view. The photos do not do the view justice!!! When you can get "wows" out of a teenager, you know you picked the right cabin. We loved the quiet mountain feel but yet the cabin was still within just a few minutes of town.

The cabin was spotless and had all of the kitchen items. Even the smallest details of hand soap and such were there. I especially loved the open floor plan, which made the food prep a part of the family time. The cabin is very spacious. The timed gas fireplace was so easy to use! Even the indoor and outdoor dining tables were big enough for our family. Everything exceeded our expectations at Paradise View. Keep in mind the grill is a charcoal grill. Be sure to shop before coming to the cabin. You will not want to venture out, other than exploring and site seeing. The road that the cabin is on is a loop and the cabin is labeled which made the mountain drive easy.

Thank you for sharing Paradise View! We will definitely stay here again.

Owner's Response: Thank you Christy for the great review!. I am so happy you enjoyed the view and the cabin. The drive up was a little intimidating for Floridians but we finally got the hang of it and now it seems so easy. I have rented cabins that I had to park at the end of the driveway and hike up - no fun. Please come back anytime you can. Linda Hobbs
