Definitely accurate description, excellent communications and directions to the property.First rate cleanliness and furnishings. The owner was very helpful with any questions. I would definitely recommend the home. There are wineries, village of Sautee, the Anna Ruby Falls, Dahlonega's historic village and Gold mine experience. The town of Helen is very Bavarian in atmosphere with Betty's Grocery store a must. It is hopefully in the plans for a revisit.

Thank you so much Karen for the great review for Cloud 9. We are so glad that you and your friends enjoyed it. This time of year the Mountains are really beautiful. Hopefully you and your Friends will come back soon as the view changes from season to season and as you have seen, and also from day to day, hour by hour.
Best Regards Alan and Sheelyn
My husband and I spent our 48th anniversary at this WONDERFUL place. The cute, windy beautiful road up to it is WONDERFUL. The arrival was WONDERFUL because of our excitement to see this SPECTACULAR VIEW in reality. And opening the door and walking through that adorable house to the neat little porch to actually see that BEST VIEW EVER was WONDERFUL. We LOVED every inch of that scene. For many years we have been choosing places to stay only if the views were great; this one surpasses them all. WOWOWOWOWOWOWWOOWOW! A huge, gorgeous valley of beautiful Autumn trees right in front of you. AND in the distance there are so many miles and miles of mountain peaks, you can't count them all. And with the sweet little town of Helen only 3 miles away----well, it was the best vacation spot in the mountains we've ever had. We will be back.
My wife and I and another couple stayed here for a long week end. It had most every thing we needed. We cook all but 1 meal at the cabin which saved us loads of money. Also there were plenty of things to do at this wonderful cabin, from sitting in the hot tub to playing pool, it kept our wives out Helen, which saved us a ton of money as well! There was nothing better than starting the day with the beautiful sunrises that you see every morning from the back deck. Closing each evening while sitting on the deck with a nice cigar and galss of Hennessey just completes the week end.
The only difficulties we had was the road getting to the cabin is a one lane dirt road that our cars did not care for. We made it with no problem, however I would suggest to anyone who goes here in the winter or rainy season to take a truck.
I will defiantly be returning to the cabin in the near future.
Thank you for a great weekend!!
We had a great time. The view was amazing. It was very easy to book and the owner was very responsive to any question I had. That includes responding back to me on Saturday night while we were renting. We would love to rent this property again.
This is a great property, I wished that we had stayed longer. A little tricky getting up to the first time, but once you know your way and get comfortable with the steep ascent its worth the view. The porch overlooks the Blue Ridge and both sunrise and sunset are beautiful times of day as the light and haze from the valley interact. You will gain an appreciation of why these mountains are called the Blue Ridge. We ate in one night during our two night stay and after a short jaunt to Betty's Grocery, we had everything we needed to prepare a great meal. We used the Pandora Radio on the TV the night we ate in but never explored any of the other A/V possibilities. If you have kids I suspect that you could keep them plenty occupied with games and movies if for some reason you didn't care to enjoy all that the area has to offer. Late night in the hot tub with a glass of wine was a great way to end the day and soothe our sixty-something year old bodies. The beds were comfortable, the house was clean, the amenities were more than adequate....we would not hesitate to come back. The owner was very nice and a pleasure to deal with. All in all we had a great time, we just didn't stay long enough!
My family and I are currently staying at the stunning, overwhelmingly beautiful, Cloud 9. and for once it was a great relief to read the owner, Alan's description of Cloud 9 to be true, and almost humbly understated. There just is no way to accurately describe, not only the lovely home itself, but what the incredible view inspires in one's soul. This is the first time in my life, out of many different vacations in many locales that I have found such peace and beauty, and the time to reflect on life, within the splendor of the ever changing view of the surrounding forest and the truly spectacular mountain range . My in-laws thoroughly enjoyed the sweet little cottage,
and my husband and I loved the main house and especially the fireplace at night to take the off the chill. The hot tub at night was a wonderful relaxing treat at the end of delightful days spent in Helen, at Anna Ruby Falls, the quaint restaurants, panning for gold, shopping for souvenirs at the shops. The best days for me, as I am disabled and in Chronic pain, were just spent at Alan's home away from home, rocking in the chairs watching the leaves changing color every day, lying on the super comfy sofas, or reading a good book in the also extremely comfortable beds. Just as an aside note , we sleep at home in a king size bed , and when i saw the bedroom on the main floor of the cabin, I thought to myself " Oh no, that bed will never work for my husband and me" ! well, let me tell you that bed is so comfortable, and it gave us a chance to snuggle , like we haven't done in years ! All in all, this has been one of the best vacations we have ever had, and we had the opportunity to bring our dogs, which meant so much to us, and they had a fantastic time romping all over the forest and mountainside ! Oh one more thing about the road upto Cloud 9 , some have said it was a little difficult , well we chose to look at it like a free adventure ride and whooped and hollered and enjoyed the heck out of our free ride ! Cloud 9 will not disappoint and Alan the owner is the kindest, and easiest gentleman that I have ever had the pleasure of working with ! Thank-you, to you and your family Alan, for everything thing you did for me and my family and we are forever in your debt and will definitely be back to the splendor of Cloud 9! With much fondness, Elcova Fellowes
My stay at Cloud 9 was even better than
I hoped! I was there with family from ages 10 to me (Grandma) and we all loved it. I would stay again and I would recommend it to any one. Alan was wonderful to work with. Thank you from our family for a delightful stay.
