Why Rebecca Quigley chose Maui

This is a great location close to everything Maui has to offer with spectacular sunrises & sunsets. Having a beach and an ocean to swim in right below our condo is awesome! Oh and did I mention spectacular whale watching from the lanai, seasonal Dec 15 - April 15.

What makes this condo unique

Maalaea is quiet and away from the hustle and bustle of Maui...yet if you want, Lahaina or Kihei is just a short drive away. Now, how about being able to quickly hop on a boat to go to snorkeling or on a sunset cruise, its just a short walk away. Boasting spectacular whale watching (in season) right from the lanai, this property truly is a gem amidst the number one island in the world!

There are so many wonderful things to do that we need to come back again and finish up our list. Dream vacation rental!

We definitely recommend this place!

The location in Maalaea is a great central location, and very easy to get to. It is across the street from the Maui Ocean center, next door to many of the boat excursions, and less than 30 minutes from Kahului, Lahaina, or Kihei. Best of all, the condo is NOT in a chintzy tourist area, so you can enjoy peaceful ocean views and beach access.

Kitchen is well stocked, and the owner leaves snorkels, beach chairs, and most anything else you could want. Everything is clean and pretty well maintained. Separate bedrooms easily accommodate 4, although the back bedroom has less airflow and might be less comfortable on especially hot days. Most days, though, the trade winds provide a steady rush of fresh air.

But best of all, the view outside your window is absolutely stunning! No better way to wake up than with coffee on the balcony overlooking the bay, and no better way to finish your day in the evening. Just awesome!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and weren't ready to go home.

We loved staying in this centrally located condominium. You can get to almost anywhere on the island in a very reasonable amount of time; Paia in 20 minutes, lahaina about 30, (if there is no traffic,) and Kihei in about 15. You get the point. We loved the constant breeze which blew through the condominium when the kitchen window or front door was open, along with that of the lanai. It kept us quite comfortable and connected with nature. Being right on the ocean, with the windows open, going to sleep at night was so peaceful. The constant breeze, along with the waves, and watching the sun come up over the ocean from the Lanai, were some of our favorite moments.

The kitchen is well equipped, but there are also a few restaraunts within walking distance. I do agree with another renter who said the second bedroom can get a little stuffy, but they do provide ceiling fans in every room, along with floor fans. We also felt that the beach at the end of the street, was one of the best beaches we found. In the summer, I think the waves break better on the south side of the island. I understand that in the winter, the waves are quite large on the north shore. We will be coming back, and if it's available, we would totally stay here again.

Breathtaking Ocean Views!

We absolutely loved, loved, loved the ocean views from this condo. Having been to Maui before we knew this would be a great location. It was nice to enjoy the condo lanai and pool as well as the on property beach. We definitely will book here again next trip to Maui, it was so relaxing!

Absolutely beautiful

A gorgeous location right on the ocean with incredible beaches that go on for miles. The home has everything you need to make meals and enjoy visits to the pool or beach. Truly a spectacular area for a trip anytime of the year. Can't wait to plan my next visit.

Maui April 2017

The condo was perfect for our family of 4. Keeping the 2 beds in the 2nd bdrm as twins for our 13 and 11 yr old worked out great. Beautiful evening breezes and view of the boats coming in and out of the harbor. Top of the complex so no real noise from the neighbors. We saw the Sea Turtles in the adjoining water and even talked to some local fishermen with their fresh catch. The location of the condo was good; the drive to Lahina was not too far and plenty of beach access along the way. We did all the touristy stuff - Luau, zipline, horseback riding, snorkel/snuba, Front St. and drove to mil. marker 45 to Hana to see the blow hole and some "scared" pools....busy week!!. Next time I want to spend more time just "sitting on the beach" : ) . The condo is close to a Walmart & not too far from Safeway. Costco is just around the corner from the airport. There were ample toiletries provided (kleenex, TP, soap) for our 7 day stay in the condo; as well as spices (if you really wanted to cook); plus some games, books and movies in the TV cabinet. Carl's Jr and Circle K are on the corner too! We appreciated the available beach chairs, cooler and umbrella; even a boogie board. Even the resident cats added to our positive experience (just a touch of home !!).

As many will tell you, there is a bug issue on the Island. But we did not find them too bad (mostly dead) and Terminex actually came by the complex during our stay. Privacy in the master bedroom can be an issue, as there are no window coverings from the patio sliding glass door to the master. We had smokers below us for the first 2 days, so that was a bummer that we could not enjoy the patio and had to close the doors/windows during their smoking. But they left before us, so it was all good from that point on !!

Overall, this was a great choice for us. We also had family rent in the same complex (2nd floor) during our stay and they also had a good experience. We would both highly recommend this specific condo and this condo complex to anyone looking to stay in Maui.

Final payment is due 30 days prior to arrival or payable in full if booking within 30 days of arrival. Once your account is paid in full, there will be no refunds after this point in time. If in doubt and because unforeseen things happen, please purchase independent Travel Insurance that is not associated with me personally but it is available thru VRBO/HomeAway at the time of check out.

CHANGE FEES: Once an initial payment is made, a minimum $100 CHANGE FEE WILL APPLY to date changes!

If a CREDIT CARD is used for any payment, it will incur a 4% fee (5% if international).
