La Cachette is a very lovely holiday home just 26km from Nice in the hills behind with beautiful views south. The village is C13th and charming. Little streets lead to the houses. Cars are parked in the square and so it is very peaceful. There is a bar, hotel, 2 restaurants, a pizza takeaway booth, a small shop and a hairdresser.
The location allows access to skiing, sea, Italy the whole of the Riviera, Corsica and Sardinia. It is very well located and extremely comfortable with all the home from home essentials. Whilst it consists of one bedroom, it has a comfortable double bed, adult size bunk beds and in the sitting room there is a high quality 5' sofa bed. I have had familes of 5 staying regularly.
From the village there are fantastic walks and an equine centre allows keen riders to go horse riding.
A busy entrepreneur who designs furniture and makes it in different parts of the world for the big groups. I'm also a property developer and live in Winchester. I enjoy cycling, skiing, walking, sailing, beaches, and relaxing and a hundred other things which might bore you!
Jonathan Greatrix purchased this house in 1998
The location is amazing as are the views. A recent guest proposed to his girlfriend on the balcony. How could she refuse!
We are 40 mins from the airport. Close to Italy, the Riviera, Skiing, Corsica, Sardinia - inland France. I visit this house every month and find it incredibly relaxing, exciting and fun. From the house there is so much to do for all ages.
The views and the elevated position is stunning.
Location, location, location. Visit the website and you will see what I mean.
We stayed in this homely apartment in late August. We found it to be a perfect little home from home.
Although it's only 24km from Nice the last 5km involve 15 hairpin bends up into this medieval hill village. The village of Berre-les-alpes has enough services for the locals and guests to live a simple life without ever leaving.
If you can give up the spectacular views for the day most of the cote d'azure is within an easy drive there is even a supermarket in the valley with a british food section.
During our stay we truly fell in love with this apartment and the pace of life offered.
The owner Jonathan was supportive and accommodating over the phone and email also the local handover was easy.
Appartement très sympa (belle vue sur l'arrière pays), petit mais très fonctionnel. Le village est typique est très agréable avec les commerces juste à coté. Parfais pour découvrir les environs!
There is a lot to do. The best thing is to view our website www.lacachette.eu for ideas and more.

There is a cleaning charge of 40 pounds in equivalent euros payable to my neighbour. They will clean on your departure. You are staying longer then you can ask for additional cleaning which they will charge you for - allow 35 euros a time. Please strip beds after stay and leave them in the bathroom. Please leave the place tidy as you found it and be thoughtful to those living around. No smoking please even on the balcony. Any breakages, please either replace or report. Please treat the place as if it were yours and leave it enjoyable for others. Do use food in the cupboards but don't leave them bare - replace. It is all common sense stuff. Have a fab stay.
* Approximate monthly rate. Actual rate will depend on the days of the month you stay.
