A beautiful luxurious home with mesmerising views.
About Ciara McInerney
Kilbaha Cottage holds many wonderful memories for me and my family and is a perfect place to relax and kick back.
Ciara McInerney purchased this Cottage in 1990
Why Ciara McInerney chose Carrigaholt
I spent my childhood summers in this house and have wonderful memories of running to see the dolphins just off the rocks and collecting shells in the many rock pools on the shore. There are sailing courses for children in Kilrush which I enjoyed and of course the many picnics on the nearby beaches. It's a very special house for adults and children alike.
What makes this Cottage unique
Although the house is a holiday home it has everything you might need for your stay. The stunning view and rock pools draw you outside while the sauna is relaxing after a dip in the cove.

My family and I spent 7 days in Kilbaha Cottage. It was a lovely stay from start to finish. Kilbaha Cottage is quant, cozy, and comfortable. It’s setting is quaint, remote & beautiful. Ciara is very responsive & accommodating. I would recommend a stay at Kilbaha Cottage to any one!
Thank you Corinne for your kind words!
Our stay here was lovely. Middle of winter and there were beautiful sunsets and all kinds of magical landscapes. Very cosy clean house with everything you need. Definitely recommend. Thanks Ciara x
Thanks so much for your kind review. We’re glad you enjoyed your winter stay!
Private, remote and heavenly!
After three weeks of traveling all over Ireland, this warm and comfortable cottage is an ideal refuge for the road weary or for those seeking peace and quiet. Situated right on the rocky shoreline, it is perfect for watching the storms roll through or taking long walks along the shore. We were there the first week of November and the house was well heated and comfortable. The kitchen was well supplied for cooking in and we found great fresh local products in the nearby towns.
We look forward to a return visit.
This house is amazing! The landscape is beautiful and we enjoyed the sound of the waves crashing on the rocks just below us; like something out of a Bronte novel. The house is well decorated and very well equipped. An incredibly memorable week!
Another great week at Kilbaha Cottage
We had another great week at Kilbaha Cottage (this was our second stay). We arrived in mid-September and stayed for a week. We truly enjoy the remoteness of the property, sitting on a cliff overlooking the Shannon. We have come to know the owners of Keating’s Pub as well as Liz & Ailish who won Kilbaha Gallery and Tea Room. Love the scenery, the cliff walks, and the food. We like it so much we are already booked for another week next May..
Jewel of the Emerald Isle
I'm convinced this must be one of the nicest rentals in all of Ireland. Spectacular location, beautifully furnished. So relaxing and peaceful. About a 1 hour drive to the Cliffs of Moher, but many beautiful spots nearby like the inspiring Bridges of Ross. Be sure to stop by Kilbaha Gallery for art and delicious pastries and enjoy lunch at nearby at Keating's.
In 2010, Loop Head became a European Destination of Excellence in aquatic tourism. It’s also right in the middle of the Wild Atlantic Way, 2,500 kilometres of the finest coastal scenery in Ireland. It is a very unspoilt region but not remote from the many activities you might like to try on your vacation. There are some award winning golf courses and restaurants within a short drive as well as numerous family activities and day trip destinations. There really is something for everyone in the family.
