Clean, comfortable and perfectly situated

Let me just say that the villa is amazing! The distribution of the house is perfect for big groups! We were 3 families all with kids and each family had 2 big bedrooms! It couldn't be better. Each unit has total privacy and independence. In the afternoons and evenings the whole group hung up in the inviting common areas, each one with fireplace, where we enjoyed amazing dinners and games. The pool area was amazing especially if you have little kids. As you open the windows in the morning the views and the fresh air are just incredible! Gaia was super attentive since the beginning of the booking process, she also arranged for a local chef (Saba) to come cook for us at the house twice, and each time her cooking was exceptional - using some fresh ingredients from the property's own gardens! Thank you so much Gaia for sharing your beautiful estate with us! it will be forever in our memories.

Magical vacation!

  • 5 of 5

We were so lucky when we found this home to rent for our Tuscan Holiday! Gaia, the owner was absolutely wonderful to work with and really made us feel at ease knowing that everything would be taken care of and the home would be lovely. The pictures just can't do the house justice as it is absolutely stunning! Each room and bathroom has the up most attention to detail. The beds are very comfortable and the home is well stocked with everything you need.

The house is on the property of a working farm and it was was fun to be able to see the horses, donkey, chickens, geese and ducks every day (although they are also well hidden if you don't want to encounter the animals as the property is huge). Each morning we had fresh farm eggs from the chickens!

I can't say enough great things about this home. I am really looking forward to when we can return. A few things to note- in order to get to the house the home is on a dirt road so it is helpful (although not necessary) to have a car that is better suited for that. the kitchen was well stocked and really fun to cook in - it took me a little while to figure out that the oven timer needs to be on before you can set the temperature and baking style :)

This was a great experience and I would highly recommend this house to anyone!

Superb house, Tuscan spirit and refinement

  • 5 of 5

You arrive at the gate of this little Tuscan paradise after 200 m of dirt road. 2 beautiful stone houses, distant of about 500m are integrated into the beautiful countryside overlooked by the pretty village of Castiglione d'Orcia. The house is a mix of modernity, as very comfortable and very well equipped, and ancient materials. Everything is beautiful and made to feel that you are good, while respecting the Tuscan spirit. The black marble pool is a huge asset as we experienced the heat of the summer days. Animals domain (chickens, geese, ducks, donkeys, horses) were a joy for our children and ourselves, and the peaople who were taking care of the place were really nice to us. You'll find a small supermarket in the village, and everything needed 10 minutes by car. On the advice of Gaia, the owner, we also had the chance to have a home cooking class with Saba, the queen of pasta. Excellent evening, and a treat!

The holiday was perfect in this beautiful property, we hope to return one day!

An unforgettable experience...!

  • 5 of 5

Staying at the farm Vignalunga was an unforgettable experience.

I rented the entire estate including the annex dependance on the occasion of my 40th birthday. I wanted to gather my closest friends and relatives during a weekend and organize a dinner for 30 people. I was looking for a place large enough to accommodate at least 15 people to sleep and 30 for dinner.

When I spoke with Gaia, the gentle owner of the farm, which is also the person who runs the business, she assured me that the place was perfect to accommodate all the guests, and it would have been perfect for both adults and children.

I can say that everyone's stay was well above expectations!!!!

I asked Gaia to support me in the organization of the dinner on Saturday evening. She organized so that the cook of the neighboring village came at the farm with his staff to cook for everyone. The dinner was perfect, we agreed on a menù according to Tuscany tradition, the food was just delicious!

The place is much more beautiful than what it comes out from pics. The conservative restructuring has kept precious details from past but have been added all of the amenities one may need. The most beautiful part are the common areas but especially the gardens around the house. On Sunday we have prepared a brunch in the garden and put blankets on the grass for a picnic... Both adults and children had a great time.

Each room has a bathroom and can be considered a small apartment.

Last but not least, there is a beautiful swimming pool! great for sipping a glass of wine with friends and take a swim after a day spent exploring the surroundings.

I would really recommend this beautiful place to enjoy a real Tuscany experience. Thanks Gaia and all your team, we will be back soon!

The strategic location of the hotel allows guests to easily visit the most beautiful places of this area, which was declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco in 2004. In fact, this property is topped by the imposing and protective Rocca d'Orcia to the south, to the north of Bagno Vignoni (less than a km away) and the ancient village of Vignoni, Pienza and east.
