Perfect location in residential area
Laura was very responsive to all of our inquiries, both before and during our stay. The house is appointed beautifully, and it's centrally located to many of the treasures in the southwest. The only "harder than necessary" aspect was the difficulty, time, and expense of making an international wire transfer (the only way acceptable) to pay for the rental. Perhaps HomeAway could come up with a better method?
Perfect place to relax and enjoy southern Ireland. This beautiful property ticks all the boxes. Perfect location, safe, spacious easy walk to the village shops pubs grocery shops etc . Would highly recommend this property!!!
Spacious property with everything you need.
We loved our stay at this spacious comfortable home which has everything you need. The very safe location is perfect to explore the south western regions. Restaurants, pubs and grocery stores are a 5 minute drive or 15 minute walk away. We would highly recommend this house to couples sharing costs or families looking for a base.
THIS PLACE IS AMAZING
My friends and I stayed here a year ago and still dream about it. Perfect location to walk into town or drive the surrounding area. Quiet neighborhood. The house is very well appointed and the kitchen is perfect. You will not regret staying here!
First of all let me say the photos of the house do not do it justice - it is gorgeous. Spacious, tastefully decorated, warm, spotless and with every mod-con that anyone may need. Three lovely bedrooms, all ensuite. An open plan attic room that our children loved and used as their den - complete with sofa & beanbags. Broadband that worked with 4 devices all over the house. Every conceivable thing we needed was there - we have never stayed in such a well equipped house. The welcome pack of bread, milk, chocolate, orange juice & butter was much appreciated after a long drive. There was even a vase of fresh daffodils on the kitchen table! Laura is an excellent hostess.
Thanks for great review. You are welcome anytime. They have a great Halloween Howl for kids in Nov.
Very good place to stay
The house has three good bedrooms with comfortable beds, all en suite. Very big kitchen with all you may need in a kitchen, also already some food that was a pleasant surprise for us. Kenmare is a nice little town with a number of good bars and restaurants. This was our first visit to Ireland but we absolutely will be back in this area. We can reccommend this house for everybody who wants to stay for one or two weeks and make day trips but enjoy the comfort of a good house with good facilities in the evening / night.
Kenmare is known as the jewel of the Ring of Kerry and is ideally situated as a gateway to explore both the renowned Ring of Kerry and the beautiful Beara Peninsula. There are many attractions in the area which will suit everyone including the town of Killarney and the breathtaking Killarney National Park within easy reach and a trip to the Unesco World Heritage Site, the Skelligs, is also possible.
Visitors will be spoilt for choice of activities in the area. The Macgillycuddy Reeks and Carrauntoul, the highest mountain in
Ireland, is nearby and offers a challenging walking experience. For gentler walks the Beara Way, Kerry Way and Dingle Way offer a relaxing way of exploring the beautiful landscape. Star Sailing is a ten minute drive away and offers a wide variety of water sports for all ages. You can also go cruising on Kenmare Bay and may see seals, dolphins and the occasional sea eagle.
