Villa Clara is a typical 18th Century Manor villa with its own small formal park and chapel, at the centre of an estate with farmhouses where the farmers looking after the winery used to live. The owners have fully furnished it in an elegant style and have provided modern amenities, such as internet connection. A beautiful, large swimming pool (18x8m) was installed at a short walk from the house. Located at just 4km from Lucca, the villa’s position combines proximity to town with the peace and beauty of the surrounding countryside which is one of the most popular residential areas of the town of Lucca. Villa Clara can accommodate groups of up to 20 people, with all bedrooms (except one) having their own bathroom. The rental of the property, together with the one of Casa Rosa, located on the same estate, offers the possibility for larger groups, up to 32 guests, to vacation together. For smaller groups it is also possible to rent only a part of the house, accommodating up to 12 guests. The helpful caretakers live on the estate in a separate apartment and are available to arrange cooking services for their guests.

First Floor: 2 double bedrooms with en-suite bathroom with shower only; double bedroom and twin bedroom sharing a bathroom (shower only); large sitting room. Second Floor: 2 double bedrooms with en-suite bathroom (shower only); 3 twin bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms (1 shower only and 2 with bath and separate shower); double bedroom with en-suite bathroom (shower only).
Villa Clara and Casa Rosa were great for our family trip. Their location in relationship to the town of Lucca was idea. It made it very easy to find our way back home no matter where our travels brought us. Villa Clara was beautiful and elegant. Both houses were well stocked with dishes, glassware, silverware and basic spices. The photos of Casa Rosa on the internet do not do it justice. It is really a lovely house in and of itself. The property that the two houses sit on is very private. The caretaker's house is just through a hedgerow of bushes which keep it very private yet close enough when you need to ask Anna or Angelo a question.
Anna and Angelo are very sweet and friendly. The houses were spotless when we arrived. You can tell they take very good care of the buildings inside and out. The Saturday evening meal prepared by Anna was delicious. They set the tables with beautiful linen making it a very welcoming evening.
The pools are beautiful. Well maintained and clean. They had a washer and clothes dryer. I was shocked to see a dryer. But, it never really dried the clothes so we went back to using the typical Italian drying-rack as expected. The sun was much more efficient.
Thanks for all your help as always.
