Your true hideaway nestled in the Adirondack Mountains and on Lake Champlain. Total peace and quiet on your large property of heavily wooded forest with a bridge and creeks. Watch the changing leaves, go canoeing from your private beach or just sip cocoa in front of the fire while looking out to the family of deer on the front lawn. The house is built on top of a lush hill which faces Lake Champlain. Stairs leading to a bridge, where you can listen to the babbling brook which flows from the artisan well that flows below you, continues to the lake. Choose from a variety of water sports to pass the day away. Have a bonfire or BBQ on the beach. Go for a canoe ride with a picnic for two. Hunt for frogs in one of the creeks. We have a canoe with 4 adult life jackets and one child, as well as a 10 foot rowboat and a dock. We do have a mooring . The beach is mostly sandy, unusual for Lake Champlain. We have parking for a trailer and electrical hookups
In the winter time just walk out the door to go sledding, tobogganing, ice fishing etc. or take advantage of our local Olympic ski slopes at Whiteface. Watch the leaves change in Autumn and visit the local pumpkin patch for a hay ride.
Great Escapes Six Flags is one and a half hours away!
Conveniently located next to two international airports. Burlington, VT is 1 hour and 20 minutes away with a ferry ride. Albany is 2 and a half hours away. Many ferries in the area, ask us for the schedule if you need it. There is a gas station and a full grocery store less than 5 miles away if you should need any essentials. There are much more major shops and activities in Plattsburgh, 12 miles away.
The house has a piano in the White Room downstairs and the upstairs bathroom tub fits FOUR!
This is truly a very special property if you love peace and quiet.
My name is Jasmine and this property belongs to my mother, who travelled the world to pick her favorite places and now we are sharing them with you. We wish you to have a lovely time and enjoy these corners of the earth like we do
The Owner purchased this house in 2005
Location, Location, Location

I was there with my husband, my 19-month-old baby, my 2 dogs and 2 friends for a week-end and it was perfect! It's a paradise for adults, kids and dogs! A great spot to relax, soak up the sun and swim. The private beach is nice and the house was clean. I recommend this rental to anyone who's looking for tranquility!
This was the perfect place to relax! We had so much fun playing in the lake, which was warm enough for my 2 year old, who gets cold easily, to enjoy. The sandy beach really helped her as it made it much easier for her to play in the water...the dog had a blast too! The cottage itself was better than expected. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were quite spacious. All of our questions were addressed right away. The toys, paddle boat, and canoe were great to have. There was a row boat too though we didn't have a chance to take it out...next time.;o)
For a wonderful time and a great place to stay...............This is it. Stayed here a few years ago and loved it and it's still that way now. Going to book it for a week in the summer also
Great place to relax and do just about anything I was there a few years ago and loved it Skiing is great and close BUT the lake in the summer is wonderful. All ages will love it I'm booking it again for early November and again for April Can't wait to get there again
Our family really enjoyed watching the fireworks beach side on the cute private cove. Nice decks and winding wooden paths and bridge to beach through woods was peaceful. Great location outside of town but only 20 mins to the ferry to Burlington in Port Kent. Dock was nice as well. Sweet neighbors dog visited everyday as well :). Thank you
The reason i gave this house 2 stars is because although the nature is beautiful, the house itself had several problems. When my family and I arrived at the house all the doors were locked, no keys were present and nobody was there. We had lots of trouble contacting and communicating the owners of the house. After about 45 minutes of waiting and trying to communicate with the owners we finally got a hold of her and she told us to enter through a window under the house. The house was dusty. Both bathrooms showers were leaking and uncomfortable. The paddle boat is broken, so it wasn't used, but the beach itself was nice. Also if you are planning on my a campfire you need to find your own wood, because none is provided. Throughout our stay we communicated only once with the owner because the owner never answered her phone. This is my truthful review about my personal experience and i wouldn't recommend this house unless its a last resort.
We are on a 3 acre lot in a very private location. Two creeks that run along each side of the property which are alot of fun. There is boat launch less than 1 mile down the road. Golf courses within a 30 mile radius! White Face Mountain Ski Olympic Resort is 23 miles away, easy ride for Skiers and snowboarders alike.
