My name is Annette and I am the owner of the property. I am thoughtful, committed and helpful person who excels in customer care. I will be checking in and checking out all guests. I am here to help and I will do my very best to make your stay enjoyable. I stay near the villa and have lived in Perth for over 12 years now. Previously I lived in Edinburgh. I moved up to Perth to be near my sister.
Annette Callachan purchased this villa in 2004
I bought the villa so I could turn it into a bed & breakfast which I have enjoyed and met so many nice people from all over the world but after doing this for nearly 10 years I have decided to change into a holiday let. My Bed & Breakfast had a rating of 9.5 out of 10 from trip adviser with nearly 200 reviews. It is now up to me to get a similar score as a holiday rental. The reason for the change is to give me some more free time because running a bed & breakfast is very hard work and very tiring. The lounge has a unique mural along all 4 walls which displays all the local area as it was approx. 100 years ago.
Perth is central to Scotland and you can just about get to most major attractions within 1 hours drive. Within a 10 minute drive you are out into the countryside and the beautiful scenery of Scotland yet we are only 3 minutes to the town centre. Scone Palace is only 3 miles away which once housed the stone of destiny. Scone was the old capital of Scotland before Edinburgh.
Villa is warm and welcoming. Plenty of space and comfortable. Love the kitchen.
8 friends had a 3 night stay. The house was everything and more we required. The welcome pack was great, it was appreciated. House was within walking distance to the town. We ate at the nearby Lovat Hotel.
We will be back.
Spent three nights at property with family to celebrate my 70th birthday. This large, well equipped and beautifully furnished house is ideal for a weekend break or holiday in a lovely part of Scotland. We were grateful for the welcome pack of bread, milk, tea, coffee etc. and pleased to find we were within walking distance of three good shops for groceries.
The two young children in our party had a great time at the swimming pool - 5 mins walk away- and also the South Links park which has loads of play equipment. They made good use of the trampoline and we all enjoyed a barbeque in the garden.
We visited the Loch of the Lowes Nature Reserve ( Scottish Wildlife Trust ) 17 miles away at Dunkeld to see the Ospreys and their young.
Dined out at Grand Italia in Perth - a family run restaurant with great food and child friendly.
We will definitely recommend this property to friends and family as it is probably the best self catering break we have had.
The house would accommodate more than our property but was very comfortable for us. I would recommend this for friends.
Perth is a very centrally located for day trips which suited us well.
The property is very clean and comfortable, conveniently situated on a main road but with ample parking and set back far enough so that the traffic is not too intrusive. It is roomy but warm and snug in winter. The manger was very helpful (I needed advice about cooking Christmas dinner for 10 on the Aga!). I would be happy to return here again.
Perth is a great place to use as a base for exploring Perthshire and Kinross, Edinburgh is also within easy reach for a day visit.
Perth is central to Scotland and you can reach most places of interest within an hour. Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dundee, Gleneagles, Pitlochry, St. Andrews, Carnoustie, Loch Tay, Loch Rannoch, Loch Leven, The whisky distillers, Falkland Palace, Scone Palace, Noah's Ark kids entertainment and much much more. We are within walking distance of the town centre where we have Debenhams, M & S, Gap, Next etc. plus swimming pool and Dewars Ice Rink are only 500 metres away.
