CHARMING LOG CABIN IN TRANQUIL SETTING WITH SPECTACTULAR VIEWS SLEEPS 4 1 UCI Fort William Mountain Bike World Cup - 2nd & 3rd June 2018 Set in a picturesque position with breath-taking views over River Slatach and the surrounding mountains. The lodge is bright spacious and finished to a high standard with a wrap-around balcony on which to sit and relax. Outside you are immediately hit by the truly wonderful riverside setting magnificent views and tranquil surroundings. Relax and enjoy the wildlife including golden eagles black throated divers and red deer in the surrounding area. Glenfinnan lies on the scenic Road to the Isles from Fort William to Mallaig or travel by the Jacobite steam train along the Victorian railway which travels over the 21 arch Glenfinnan Viaduct and Loch Sheild Black Lake both made famous by the Harry Potter films. Located near the site of the 1745 Jacobite Rebellion monument and within driving distance to the Nevis Range the Ben Nevis Distillery and Fort William which is 17 miles away. The accommodation offers THREE bedrooms: 1 double 1 twin and 1 single. Shower room: with WC. Lounge/kitchen/diner: large open-plan area with Freesat TV DVD and patio doors leading onto the spacious balcony. Kitchen area with electric cooker fridge/freezer washing machine microwave and large storage area for outdoor boots and clothing. Outside: balcony overlooking the river with patio furniture. Amenities: ample parking. Bed linen towels electric heating and Free WiFi included. 1 well behaved dog welcome 2 by arrangement. Regret no smoking. Location: pub/restaurant a 5 minute walk (seasonal opening hours may vary) shops in Corpach 10 miles. Walking distance to the train station. Arrival: 4pm.
The Cabin is in a wonderful location by the river and it's falls, which are very soothing whilst sitting out on the well appointed deck.
Joan Robertson (the owner) was extremely pleasant and helpful including the provision of a barbeque and information on walks in the area.
