Such a cosy chalet to come back to after a days skiing. Had everything we needed and it was a real bonus to have a chalet for just 4 people. So much more space than the usual apartments we use!
Thanks for a wonderful stay!
Has all you need for a weeks ski trip to be successful.
This lovely little chalet was a magnificent base for our holiday in Chatel.
Never ending supply of logs not that you needed them for warmth, as the central heating never went off. Probably because the thermostat was sited in the bathroom!? All mod cons in kitchen, comfy lounge and a good TV.
A 5 minute uphill stroll into the village centre.
It didn't bother us, but the stairs leading to bedrooms is very steep, not really suitable for anyone a little unsteady on their legs.
We really enjoyed our stay at Chalet Le Foehn. The lounge area was very comfortable, especially with the open fire. The underfloor heating in the shower room and drying area in the porch were much appreciated, as was the wifi. The location was good for walking into the village. We had all the facilities that we needed - enough to cook a Christmas dinner!
There was limited snow during our week, but it was only 10 minutes drive to the Pre-la-Joux ski lifts. We were surprised to find that the link to Avoriaz was not open until the end of our week.
I have never felt the need to leave feedback before, but my family and I had the most amazing time in this picturesque Chalet.
We are a family of 5 and the second bedroom even with the third bed was ample for the kids, they had space to walk around their beds and there was plenty of storage space.
The Master Bedroom is again very spacious with plenty of storage space.
The sky television with the basic BBC, ITV etc was great, especially as we had a couple of ill children for a couple of days. I don't know if you brought your own SKY card and plugged it into the box, whether this would work?
The living area is very accommodating and comfortable, if I was been really really picky; the sofa is not one to lounge on (Only because very low back and no arm rests, to place a weary head !!LOL), but makes good use of the space and you can easily fit 5 people on it. It is also very easy to keep clean.
The open fire is lovely and there is ample wood already cut right down one side of the house.
The boot/ coat room, which doubles up as the entrance hallway too, is fantastic, allowing us all to have dry and warm clothing every morning.
Washing machine was also a godsend! Especially with sick Children, I washed the sheets a couple of times and did a great job. (House could do with a small stand alone dryer as an idea!)
The Walk into town is great, our 4 year old managed it no problem and is great for the teenagers to wander in on their own, as no roads to cross until you reach the centre.
The Kitchen is very well equipped and spacious, easily room for our 5 and room for more. Thank you for the wine, it was very welcome after our long drive.
The service from the agents and the support they have from Nick in Chatel was outstanding. Responding to our e-mails within seconds about the oven.
What more can I say, this is a really comfortable Chalet, in a great location. It is not 5 star, but if you want character, it has this in abundance.
We will definitely be asking to visit again if they will have us.
Thank you Esther & Danny
Our family of four adored this chalet. Small but perfectly formed with ample space inside and out. Kids spent hours sledging and snowballing. Bathroom underfloor heating was a bonus and the log fire was a great feature. It was clean with comfortable beds and had all the crockery/cutlery you need. It is close to the lift, shops, restaurants and creperie! If we come back to Chatel we will stay here for sure and I would stronly recommend it.

Other summer pastimes include white water rafting, swimming in the local pool, tennis, horse riding and
watersports nearby, at beautiful Lake Geneva.
In the evening Chatel is well served by many restaurants and bars. There is also a cinema.
