Wedding Event Stay 8/17/2017 - 8/20/2017

  • 4 of 5

Check in was more difficult than necessary since condo owner does not coordinate with the resort desk where we had to checked in and pick up the condo keys. They did not have our names or any details of our time of arrival so we had to show them our text messages from the owner.

Condo was very well located for the wedding event up at the Zephyr Lodge. The unit was generally well appointed and was as pictured. The carpeting in the living room needs replacing as it is worn and makes it appear dirty. Master bath shower was not easy to use; you had to push and pull the shower head handle at exactly the right time/location to get hot water. A how-to-use note posted in the master bath would have been helpful.

Despite the first day/arrival difficulties, we were comfortable and had a good stay.

Good and not so good....

  • 3 of 5

We stayed in Northstar for our family vacation (2 adults, 2 tweens). Overall, we really enjoyed Lake Tahoe, Truckee, and our decision to stay in Northstar. It's a quiet, family friendly location that's close to everything the area has to offer.

Pros: Location! The beds are very comfortable. Stocked with a nice starter of toilet paper, paper towels, Kleenex, laundry detergent, shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Owner was pretty easy to reach during our stay. There are plenty of towels although I had to fold a large load that was in the dryer when we got there). Parking in the garage is convenient. The pool area and clubhouse is very nice.

Cons: The unit is definitely showing wear. All the furniture is banged up, the carpet is dirty/stained. There are a bunch of lamps, but many didn't have light bulbs in them and there were a couple of new ones just sitting in the unit with the tags on. The TV in the living room is propped up with a decorative vase so it doesn't fall off the wall. As others have mentioned, the kitchen is bare bones. Just the minimum number of plates and bowls for a family of 4. Very few glasses (I had to throw one away because the rim was chipped--thankfully my daughter didn't cut her lip since I didn't notice until after she used it). There was a duvet cover on the master bed, but no duvet in it which was a little strange. Our arrival wasn't the smoothest--we got to the unit and it was HOT. The thermostat was set to 85. The unit in the living room started cooling immediately when we adjusted it, but the one for the bedrooms would not start cooling down and took quite a bit of trial and error to get it to work. The tv in the living room also did not work. While communication with the owner finally resulted in building maintenance fixing the issue I never received any word from the owner that they were coming. The unit itself was fairly clean, but it's time for a spring cleaning (air returns are filthy, there's sticky stuff on the bathroom cabinets, electronics were dusty, etc). There is also NO information in the unit. For example, there are probably 10 remotes, but no instruction on how to use them. The tv remote has Netflix, Roku, etc but no information on using them.

The unit is in a great location and could be really nice. It just needs some TLC. It's definitely a rental (vs. someone's home that they use) so lacks personal touches (throw blankets for the living room, games, etc.)

Wonderful condo, well kept, great location

  • 5 of 5

I would highly recommend this condo. We spent the week at this condo and had a wonderful time - well kept and great location. Owner quickly responded to any questions before and during visit. The condo is in an extremely quiet location during summer time. Look forward to staying at this condo again!

Stayed two nights for a conference in the village. Can't beat the location. Air conditioning was nice to have for sure. I would stay here again.

Spacious Luxury

  • 5 of 5

I’ve stayed at a Mirza rental multiple times and have never been disappointed. Beds were comfortable, kitchen was well stocked with cooking accessories and plenty of space to stretch out and relax. Can’t beat the views either.

Wonderful Ski Experience!

  • 5 of 5

Wonderful location! A beautifully kept property, warm and inviting. With a teenage son who will ski all hours of the day, it was nice for us old folks to head back to the village on our own schedule, you can't beat being right across from the Gondola. I would buy it if I could! Thank you!
