Welcome to our family. That's how we want to make you feel when you vacation in our homes in Branson. Each home has a special part of us in it that we wish to share with your family. As our quote says on our home page, 'Families are like branches that grow in different directions, yet the roots remain as one' We are a family with a foundation of Christ and pray your time in our homes reflect His beauty and His peace. We pray you will be able to stop and look at the glorious nature he sets before you each day and remember his promises to you. David, my husband & best friend is a wonderful, humble father of our children, Zachariah and Hannah. My mother & best friend, who was an extremely talented & beautiful Folk-Artist, was in the B & B business for many years and also the antique business for over 50 years. So I have been blessed by her teaching, to decorate, to create a relaxing and peaceful surrounding that will just envelope you when you enter through our doors. So when you are a guest with us, you are not only seeing a piece of what I love to create for you, but also a piece of my mother's love. I, Laura, will have the pleasure speaking with you when you call. Our Family loves the Ozarks and the wonderful, gracious people who make you feel invited at anytime. While you are here you will meet some of the nicest people and you will want to come back year after year. So Come, Vacation With Us and let us Serve You!
This home was personally designed and built by us in 2008. Branson is a beautiful area resting among the Ozark Hills along with the tranquility waters of Table Rock Lake & Lake Taneycomo. Tremendous fall colors will rejuvenate your senses--I love the Fall--the colors against the lake are just inspiring!
Enjoy being together as Family is this home. Dine together, worship together, celebrate together! The Rusty Moose is a very large lakeview home that David and I personally built that overlooks Table Rock Lake. Luxury linens, true lodge & antique decor make your stay with us peaceful & memorable. This home is amazing and the pictures don't even come close to what you feel when you enter this home. Our Red Cedar Lodge is next door if you need even more space-special discounts apply if you book both homes.
A group of 12 staff members stayed in the two lodges for a staff retreat. It was great! Absolutely no complaints!
Laura and David,
We had one of the best family vacations ever--All thanks to you. We were breathless when we entered your lovely home. You could feel the Lord's peace. The view brought tears to our eyes--it was amazing--yes, pictures to not capture the full feeling. Our stay was full of joy and family being together--we played so many games on that huge dining table. We enjoyed many morning walks and loved going over to the lookout point you recommended! I think you guys thought of everything and we truly appreciate that--by the way, I loved, loved loved your handforged silver ware! All of us older generation really liked your comfortable king beds. Also, had a few late bbq's out on the big deck. The extra large grill came in very handy--now my husband wants one--lol
We are already planning our return for either this fall or for next year--we will be in touch.
Again, thank you for having us and for all the new memories we will cherish a lifetime!
We loved our week in the Rusty Moose Lodge! The lake views are amazing. The house itself is huge and beautifully decorated. Our family reunion included 21 people, and we still had plenty of room. The 2 refrigerators and drink cooler provided lots storage space for food & drinks, and the table seated 18 people at meal times. I highly recommend staying here! We hope to return sometime!
We LOVED the rusty moose! The sunsets are breathe taking!!! Everything we dreamed of and so much more. D&L Properties were extremely prompt with all our requests, even the small things! Bring the whole family. The lake views, the amenities, the gorgeous rooms.....there's just too much to list! Absolutely love having our morning coffee on the deck overlooking the lake. Loved that everything was clean and sparkling waiting for our arrival. Definitely won't be our last visit! Cannot wait to come back. Such an amazing home to relax, unwind and get back in touch with our loved ones! Thank D&L!!
Rusty Moose Lodge is an awesome place and certainly adequate space for large gatherings. My family of 29 recently stayed there for a week, and we had a great time. The owners were prompt in getting the Wi-Fi back in operation since it was not working when we arrived, it was fixed by the next morning. There are many wonderful things about this place and the view is beautiful except in the evening when the west sun comes pouring in those great room windows (which there is no covering whatsoever) and blinds you for about 4 hours.
I feel it only right to write this review honestly. I'm sure when RML was built in 2008 it was everything the website declares. RML is now 8 years old and has had many many visitors in that time. RML needs maintenance in the worse way. Sofas are worn out and dirty, rug in great room is very dirty, the cleaning crew did a poor job between the previous guests and us, the floors & the furniture was still dusty. Most of the kitchen utensils are warped or bent, telfon scratched and peeling. Dishes had been in the dishwasher but the detergent was stuck on all the glasses and the silverware was not clean, we just bought new skillets and paper cups and plates to use. Washing machine lid all taped up because the glass lid is broken, kinda scary to use. About 1/3 of the lights in the house are burned out. Pantry door is falling off and smells like old moldy wood. Sliding door handle was falling off, we bought a special little tool so we could fix it and the other sliding door does not work.
Presidential Room mattress is worn out, I mean "GONE". All the other beds seemed ok. Duck room quilt was ragged & coming apart. HoneyMoon suite shower head was all rusted and stopped up, they had to use master shower. BBQ grill (there is only one, not 2) was absolutely corroded with grease and food residue, the holes were totally stopped up with burned on grease, it took 4 hours of hard scrubbing and scraping to get it useable, which means the previous guests did not clean it and the property cleaning management did not clean either! Upper deck is rotten and we felt it was unsafe. Lower main deck is dried out and splintering, so our little ones had to wear their shoes and still got a splinter or two. We would rent it again, but only if the maintenance has been done. It is ok for handicap guests, but it is far from town. Take your binoculars to see the lake and the TV'S !
My friends and I just got back from Branson on Sunday and we had such a wonderful time. Everyone that we met extended to us their hospitality. The only problem was one of the mattresses was extremely uncomfortable and one of the shower floors was very slippery. Otherwise the visit was perfect.
Thank you for such a lovely time in Branson it was a vacation to remember.
Rusty Moose Lodge was the perfect Christmas family vacation destination for all 21 of us. There was plenty of room to dine together, sit around the fire, play games and just hang out. There was also plenty of room to spread out when we needed some alone time (as I'm sure all families do!) Our small kids (ages 2-10) were never bored and the teens/college age were equally happy! The kitchen was a dream to work in and everything you would need was at your disposal. We loved having the extra 2 fridges in the garage for all our family's favorite foods and drink. The bedrooms and bathrooms were comfortable and very clean. Although it is away from the main areas in Branson, we found it easy to get to the Landing and Silver Dollar City, and there are stores and a WalMart within 15 minutes. I've rented from this owner (other homes) in the past and she is prompt when any problem arises, although we didn't need to call.
We plan on returning in two years!
