We purchased this property when we decided to add a little 'Caribbean Soul' to our lives. We are all avid divers and the diving on the island is really good!
Terry Anderson, OWNER purchased this condo in 2006
We decided to be as close to the beach as possible, without actually being right on the beach for a lot of reasons. Pelican Cove offered us what we were looking for... a minute walk to the beach which we see from our back gallery without the 'issues' that being on the water bring them... like heavy corrosion from the salt air!e
The island is very diverse... it is the largest of the three Virgin Islands yet has the fewest people per square mile... we like the open spaces that abound. Warm weather and relaxing are the primary draw and we find the condo to be a perfect 'home base'.
This was absolutely the most awesome vacation I had ever taken. The accommodations were incredible. So clean, convenient location and a beautiful view of the ocean. It was great to wake up every morning and have coffee, sit on the patio and listen to the ocean. We enjoyed the pool during the day, walked along the beaches and enjoy the sea breezes. At the condo they left many great ideas for fun things to do . We went on a sailboat ride to Buck Island with Big Beard Adventures. The crew was awesome and they took such good care of us. We snorkeled and they BBQ'd for us. It was awesome! We checked out the Domino Club and saw the beer drinking pigs. We also met some amazing people and made a life long friend with Mama George. The Mamawanna Rum was yummy. We visited Paul and Jill's for horse back riding tour. We rode horses through the rain forest and visited the ruins of a sugar plantation. We also rode along Rainbow beach and Jill took pictures for us with our personal cameras. We went to several little cabanas along the shoreline for good food and great drinks. Above the Cliff, Off the Wall, Rythym's, Rumrunner's and more. The views were spectacular! Every evening we had an amazing condo to return to and relax. I look forward to returning and staying at this great condo again.
I really enjoyed my recent visit to Sea Escape at Pelican Cove. When my friend and I arrived at the condo it was already dark. We went out to the patio, and were so pleased to hear the sound of ocean waves breaking and palm trees rustling in the gentle island breeze. Ahhh. Delightful. I could hardly wait to see our view in the morning.
When I woke up, I could see the ocean waves. We were excited to walk down to the beach, and we gathered some shells. We wanted to take it easy for our first day, so we went to the pool. It was very refreshing. Later that evening we relaxed at Sea Escape and watched movies. The wifi worked great, so I played a video game as well.
The next day we went on an exciting all day sailing/snorkeling trip. We needed to meet the crew at the dock in Christiansted. We liked the condo's location, because it was only a 10 minute drive. The condo location is something I grew to appreciate as the week went on. When you are at Sea Escape, you feel so much peace and tranquillity, but in a few short minutes you can be on the road to your next adventure.
For example: we drove up to the Rainforest and had lunch at The Domino Club. It was so much fun feeding the "beer drinking pigs". A riot! I would strongly recommend getting some laughs at The Domino Club.
Lastly, I want to mention that Sea Escape is very clean and well equipped. We even found a blender so we could try our hand at making our own pina coladas!
Terry is a great host, and he responds quickly to any questions. Overall, I highly recommend staying at Sea Escape at Pelican Cove. It was an awesome vacation! (I went for my birthday celebration, so this was a perfect trip for me.)
We just returned from our second visit to St Croix and our second time in Terry's amazing condo. We spent three weeks from May 2-24th in absolutely beautiful weather. Each morning we awoke to the sounds of tropical breezes and the small waves coming ashore. Breakfast was coffee on the gallery reading the St Croix paper and enjoying what ever we wished to make. The kitchen in this condo is equipped better then ours at home. The two speacious bedrooms plus a wonderful dining room and a sunken living room are more then enough for a family of four or more. The two bathrooms and showers are wonderful after a day at the beach. We would like to recommend you rent your vehicles from Judi of St Croix. Ask for Dennis and tell hime his favorite customers from Massachusetts told you to call. As far as a beach, there are many to choose from but we spent every one of the 21 days on the beach at the Buccaneer hotel. Food is wonderful and there are many restaurants. We ate at the Savant where we had the most amazing New Zealand rack of lamb. Working with Terry is great. Getting to the condo is easy if you come in during the day. At night is can be a little tricky. We suggest you rent a car for the first day you are on the island and have them deliver it to the condo. Take a taxi to the condo. Inexpensive and the drivers know the way. We have already decided to come back for a third time next May. I hope you enjoy your St Croix vacation as we have.
We were lucky enough to spend a week in St Croix, and even luckier to spend it at the Caribbean Sea Escape. We have a family of 4, and our 2 grade school girls had such a blast bouncing back and forth between the ocean and the pool. We were there in late March and we had the pool and the beach to ourselves. Like some previous reviews, I would suggest a rental car so you can get around at your convienence to see all the cool sights on the island and visit all the fun places to eat. Our girls snorkeled in some of the shallow spots along the beaches right out back from the condo. Terry was nice enough to call to make sure we got in alright and that everything was working. He is quick to respond if you ever need anything. The kitchen was well stocked (even a coffee grinder) which was great as we decided to eat lunches out and cook dinners and breakfast in. We hope to come back soon as we didn't see it all in a week!
We so enjoyed our stay at Pelican Cove. The condo was clean and well laid out. Everything you needed was there. Big patio with amazing views. Listening to the ocean at night, breezy and comfortable living. Short walk to another beach. Really nice pool. Friendly neighbors, we did not rent a car as taxi's were reasonable and easy to find. Loved all the helpful hints in the booklet. Can't wait to go back next year. Really relaxing and enjoyable. Thanks for the great time!!oh so niceo
We had a great time staying at Pelican Cove Condominiums. The accommodations were clean, beds comfortable, kitchen fully equipped, and internet worked great. Gated community was nice and other owners within the community were very friendly and helpful. Listening to the ocean, reading a book, walking the beach, dipping in the pool=very relaxing. Renting a car is must to see the rest of the island. We found private beaches to relax on, walk, swim, and snorkel. Restaurants were great all over the island and the people were the same. Great, relaxing time.
The Tropical Island of St. Croix is the largest of the 3 U.S Virgin Islands. This beautiful island has Spectacular beaches and Glorious Rain Forests. The 'Wall' is one of the largest reef systems in the world for Scuba Divers and the Wrecks in Frederiksted are not to be missed. You could also take a guided sail over to Buck Island for Snorkeling, swimming or just to relax. St. Croix also boasts great dining. Have a 5 star meal in an air-conditioned restaurant or beach side.. either way casual is the dress of the day. Downtown Christiansted has plenty of duty free shopping and History to soak in as well.
