On the outskirts of Capestang, Le a Petit Saint Nazaire is a former wine growers residence surrounded by vineyards.
Served by Beziers, Carcassonne, Montpellier and Perpignan airports, all within an hours reach. Capestang is a thriving village with a town square which holds a bustling twice weekly market. It is dominated by a 14th century church. Situated on the Canal du Midi, now a designated world heritage site. Ideally placed with the sandy beaches of the Mediterranean to the South and the Regional Park of Haut Languedoc to the North.
The owners live on site in the main house and are on hand to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. They are happy to assist you with any enquiries and to suggest activities, places to visit, restaurants to try and to arrange wine tasting tours through the local tourist office.
The rental includes a welcome pack. A baby sitting service is available if required. The owners can offer a selection of indoor and outdoor toys, games and books and can also supply high chairs, potties and toilet seats.
I cannot recommend this gite highly enough. Wendy and Pat were very helpful in every way. We discovered lots of nice little touches in the first couple of days. The place was clean and comfortable and everything seemed to have been thought of. The road was nearby but we found it to be well sheltered from any noise. The pool and gardens were kept beautifully clean, There are two supermarkets in Capestang 5 minutes drive away, and in general it is in a great place to use as a base for exploring, or just relaxing all day beside the pool listening to birdsong.
Wendy and Pat were perfect hosts with a warm welcome and we were delighted with the accommodation with all mod cons and home from home. The pool and grounds were very nice, although we did not use the pool it was just nice to chill out on the sun beds. We were very impressed how family friendly the facilities were , although we had no children with us , the toys , bikes , swing ball , climbing frame and slide and even a Wendy house complete with table chairs and tea set , plenty of pool toys and even buckets and spades if you want to take the children to the nearby beach. An amazing setting with first class accommodation , Wendy and Pat on hand in case you need any help , I would recommend this holiday to anyone who wants to have a relaxing break in a beautiful part of France.

From the warm welcome on arrival to the final farewell Wendy and Pat were fantastic and did everything to make us feel at home. We loved the pool and the views over the olive grove and across the fields to Poilhes.
The property is as described and the photos are an accurate representation.
Capestang is a lovely southern French town with 2 supermarkets, 5 or so restaurants, hairdressers etc etc. Best retaurant imo are Auberge La Croisade, La Terminus at Cruzy/Quarante and at Poilhes overlooking the Canal du Midi.
We have no hesitation in recommending this property to anyone looking for a relaxing holiday in this wonderful region.
My wife & 2 kids (8 & 11) stayed at Petit Saint Nazaire in July 2016 for 1 week. Upon arrival Wendy & Pat were most welcoming. The welcome package we received was great & saved us a trip to the local Lidl store which is only 5 mins away. The accommodation was better than expected & very spacious & clean. The pool was fantastic with plenty of pool toys & sports equipment to keep the kids (& myself) busy. The pool itself was great with plenty of sun loungers to use to relax & read a book. The accommodation is ideally located to visit vineyards, mountains & the beach. Wendy & Pat went out of there way to make sure we had everything we needed & gave valuable info on what to see & do. The best part of the accommodation was siting out in the evening admiring the view of the fields & the nearby village.I highly recommend this accommodation.
From the welcome pack waiting for us to the facilities and friendliness this was a great break and we would recommend this location no anyone. Wendy and Pat are there when you need them but not in your faces or overbearing.
The property was very clean and the pool was well used by all.
We ventured to the beach and to local markets but also just had lazy days at the cottage.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Petit Saint Nazaire. The accommodation was very clean and comfortable, set in lovely gardens with a splendid view across fields to the nearby village of Poilhes. The pool was large and equipped with plenty of sun loungers. The village of Capestang is a few minutes away by car with 2 supermarkets (Lidl and Intermarche) as well as shops, bars and restaurants. Close to Bezier, Narbonne and just an hour from Carcassonne it is ideally located for exploring the region. The owners could not have been more welcoming, friendly and helpful.

Beaches are within 20 -30 minutes by car, offering parascending, wind surfing, water skiing, go karting, quad biking and horse riding. Also Within easy reach are the historic towns of Carcassonne, Minerve, Collioure and Roquebrun with Cathar castles and a rich architectural heritage. The Black Mountains offer rock climbing, challenging walks and cycle rides amongst rugged and dramatic scenery, as well as kayaking and rafting on the river Orb. A little further afield, the area has two golf courses, a demanding 18 hole course near Beziers and a municipal 9 hole course at Lamalou les Bains. Narbonne and Beziers, at just 15 minutes away, offer great shopping. Further afield, Montpellier, a cultural centre, has everything on offer. Spain and Andorra, with skiing available in winter, are just under 2 hours away. Enjoy wandering around the village, with it's narrow winding streets, boasting 5 restaurants, 2 cafes, a number of bakeries and patisseries, food shops and a supermarket. There is everything you need to be immersed in the French lifestyle.
