Set in a peaceful country location but at only five minutes from the local market town in an excellent area for sightseeing, walking or simply relaxing. Suitable for couples or families.
A lovely covered outside dining area provides a wonderful setting to enjoy your meals. The enclosed front garden is a great sun trap to while away a lazy afternoon or if you're feeling energetic why not explore the rear garden and fields. Main bedroom with king size bed, second bedroom with double bedroom and third very large bedroom with 2 double beds and seating area, possibility to add a single and still have lots of space. Just a lovely house and a lovely setting in a lovely part of France.
This farmhouse was so much more than we had expected--an abundance of space, old world charm with all the modern amenities and appliances in a bucolic setting. It felt more like a country manor house than a farmhouse. And while we were removed from the hubbub of modern life, we were minutes from a commercial center where we could buy anything we might need. The property was close to the D-Day beaches and Cotentin peninsula. The owner, Michelle, was most gracious to meet us at a mutually agreed time to give us the keys, but the self-explanatory nature of the house left very little reason to need her assistance throughout the rest of our stay. As urban folks, our stay was an idyllic retreat into another world. We wish we could have stayed there longer.
We had a peaceful stay in Normandy. A lovely home with beautiful surroundings particularly like the the horses. Plenty of space in the house to relax and wind down after many a day sight seeing. Michelle and Dennis were welcoming and particularly helpful in giving us the latest info on road closures (owing to strike action). Thank you for a wonderful break.
A fantastic house to spend a holiday in Normandy. With plenty of space and all amenities described, plus it had loads of country charm and was very peaceful, clean comfortable and well-maintained. The location is perfect for day trips to Caen, Bayeux, the D-day beaches and the Mont St Michel and there is a beautiful walk to do along the Vire river at the Roches du Ham just a few minutes drive away (or from the house if you're adventurous!). Great outdoor space for enjoying the sunshine and a very efficient log burner for chillier times! A very warm welcome from the owner, who is English but has lived in the area for 25 years so has lots of helpful information about the area if you need. All in all I highly recommend it.
